Are there any games you have played through only once? and by that I mean games that you would never consider going back to play for whatever reason.
I sometimes play games that while I'm in the middle of playing, I say to myself " I'm so not playing this again " but I always end up starting a new game somewhere down the line even if I don't get through all of it.
I have a hard time thinking of any.Even games that are so time consuming like Harvest Moon Gameboy versions, I've started again at least once or twice.

I'm thinking about creating a hybrid. A dolphin-monkey. Half dolphin, half monkey. Do you think it's possible?
I was thinking that since I'm artificially creating it, I'll create it with rocket fuel instead of blood, and thus it will be able to fly, using the dolphin's dorsal fins as wings. And from the air, it will look down upon us all and protect us against sharks, and search for bananas.

Most RPGs that I have. Even if they have side stuff or whatever. I usually only care about the story, so I pretty much play all the games I own once through.
Unless there's different paths to take, then I play through again for the other path/s, then I stop.
This. Sometimes if they're really damn good and/or they have incentive or extra stuff to encourage me to play again, I will. But for the most part, I dont really plan on investing another at least 30+ hours when I could be trying out another game.

Meier: Hey Pete, I said I started to, it just didn't end the with the same number of women. Then again this one is kind of on the outs with me if she doesn't straighten up and fly right so that means I will be back in it for the thrill of the kill. Got some in the reserves. Even got a rePETEr (<---- like that ay? AYYYYY?) on the back burner.
Block: I do like the rePETEr except it kinda makes it sound like you're going to pork Pete. No homo.
(Updated April 13th 2013)Currently Playing: League of Legends, FTL, Dead Island, Borderlands 2, KotoR 2
Games i play through once are (which i can remember)
-Final Fantasy III
-Zone of the Enders: 2nd Runner
-The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap
-The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords/ Adventures (after repeatedly going through some levels but finishing the whole games once)
-Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
-New Super Mario Bros DS
While these games were decent they had no replay value..
The Legend of Dragoon.
It was a fantastic game in it's own right, but it had very little replay value, and once you beat it, and try to restart, the beginning of the game is so goddamn boring...

I can't relate with you there, i've played the hell out of LOD for years. And i thought the beginning was sweet, thanks to that kick-ass opening FMV. But on the other hand I favor rpg games the most, so it could just be my personal preference thats made me replay LOD so much.
I didn't even replay Heavy Rain a second time. I beat it and just youtubed the alternate endings. I'm not into replaying games. It sounds cool at first, but then I start replaying it and begin to remember exactly what happens and it ruins the excitement.
Any game which feels like a chore throughout a lot of the playthrough, of which the Halo series is the biggest offender. I just complete the game on legendary as soon as possible and never go near campaign again. You would have to be a masochist to play any Halo past Halo 3 several times. As well as that I find many modern JRPGs have no replay value eg. Lost Odyssey or The Last Remnant, or are too goddamned long and suck up what little free time you have, like the Personas or especially Disgaea 3 to be worth playing through again.

Usually the only games I don't replay are the ones I don't like very much. I don't replay games all that often anymore but every once in awhile I'll be so consumed by nostalgia I will be compelled to replay whatever game I've been thinking of. I'm very story-oriented so I find sometimes I want to replay a game just because I want to see that particular story again. I reread books and rewatch movies for the same reason.
