Lites have been ruining the gaming online for years, decades even. I remember the days of Diablo2, trusting experts and getting royally screwed either by a scam or by a smartass attitude... The word newb is now unanimous with gaming.... And its a sad, ridiculously unfair term. Not to mention owned, and.... well you know, the R word...

I'm not trying to bash all people who are good at games, just those judgmental turds who only play to disrespet people and act like babys.... And its not just online rpgs... They plague shooters to with their hacks and their lock on shots... People who study a game, people who make it their job to not make it fun, no to ruin it, to ruin it for themselves and everyone involved. These are the kinda people who ruin games, cuz I guarantee you most newbs play legit, and will help you, and won't scam either... Newbs are good people, to hell with those lites...

But yeah. I suck at COD online. But I'm not really that bad, it's just that there are people who are way too good for me. Which dies suck the fun out of the game. It needs an option of playing people who have similar stats to you.

There is a broad spectrum of "skill" and/or "time invested" in online gaming. It's always going to be this way. So basically you are a "newb", as one would label you, and you are saying all the good people, labeled as "elites" are basically assholes. What you just did was do exactly the same thing that you're ridiculing the "elites" of doing. You pointed at the other end of the spectrum and called them something.

Not everyone who is good or spends time on a game to learn it is an asshole. I play StarCraft 2 online, and I have been guilty of being an asshole to people, but only once they proven to me that they are also. I frequently try to help people who aren't as good as I am by giving them tips while I'm playing them, or reminding them something they forget to check.

I do agree there should be a matchmaking system for most online games, but then it's tough to find quick games when you search for one if you have more separation. Would you rather search for 13 minutes instead of 1 minute, and get your ass kicked until you get better or quit the game, or would you rather wait around for that perfectly matched game and play for a shorter amount of time than you waited?

Anyway, you can hate all you want on people that sit there and play all day long in Call of Duty and are better than you. Just know that you're not as good as them, and be okay with the fact that you probably got out of your computer chair once today. Or play a game that separates players in games based on similar stats.

But no matter what, if you are being negative towards someone, it doesn't matter who's better or worse at the game, you're the asshole.

I hate the word "leet". Mainly because there's nothing elite about being an asshole, and only assholes would use the word to class themselves.

I've met a couple of jerks in online games, especially in games like LittleBIGPlanet and White Knight Chronicles. You get those people in LBP who love hitting you, or run ahead without you so you die constantly, etc... and in WKC, I've spent hours helping other people who then **** off the second they've got what they wanted, and not sticking around to help me.

Moral of the story? Online games suck because people suck. Nuttin' leet about it.

I hate playing games online or otherwise with hackers. I have attacked and killed them in the games on more than one occasion. You don't have to be a high level you just have to outsmart them. Usually a hacker is a hacker because they're no good at the game to begin with.

I honestly hate the whole 'gamer culture' that has taken form over the last few years, with all of its stupid memes and 'leet speak', it seems to be bleeding into society like some horrific tumour that needs to be excised, there are people in my class who speak like that in everyday conversation and it makes me want to take a hammer to their faces. But I guess that says more about me than it does about other people...

I'm liking the term 'Gamer Lite' though since it seems to get across the point that these people are dedicated to the game but it in a way that takes the fun out of it. Methods like camping in shooters and other general dickery makes me wonder whether online play can be 'fun' for them, since they're generally the ones who yell all sorts of explicitives down their microphones when caught at a disadvantage, and crying out jubilant taunts and celebratory exclamations when using their silly methods to gain an unfair advantage or achieving the smallest accomplishment.

Achievement is something to be proud of no matter how miniscule but what amazes me is the number of people who consider using underhand tactics to win at things an achievement. And just to clarify, an underhand tactic is something that pisses off an opponent due to its easily repeated use and is frowned upon by the general userbase of the game.

And for the people who think I'm attacking experts, your wrong, a guy who was an expert just gave me a crown of ages in D2 LOD, if you know what a COA's is you know that it is very rare and sometimes goes for 20 hrs... Not all experts are bad, I'm talking about the lites, not the experts, Lite or elite... Is not a good term to call yourself when playing a game... ITS A VIDEO GAME!!!
