This thread confuses me, this game doesn't have Classes, they have Jobs.
This also feels like spam as this is their first post, not in the FF14 section as well.
DPS: Stimulus output, but the fierce competition in the dungeons
Tank: Relatively simple operation, but a large demand in dungeons
Healer: Highly requirements in operation, indispensable in the team
DPS, Tank and Healer, which do you like best ?

Well, in the link, it goes into what they're really asking for. I feel like the article is rather dated, but it was just posted there today. Might be worth moving this thread to it's respective sub-forum. Also, this game has both classes and jobs. You start off as a class, then move up to having a job when you're level 30, and have the respective cross class at level 15.
To stay on topic, I prefer to be a healer. If I die, everyone dies, but I would then be responsible for keeping the party alive, and on top of that mitigating damage so the tank doesn't have to worry about popping cooldowns when they're not needed. Realistically you want everyone to work as a team, and have communication between the healer and the tank when situations get tough.
As for the classes/jobs, bet you can't pick just one.

Check it out. The Fall of Spira is finished!
Given the context of FFXIV, it'd be more accurate in the question to ask which role, since that is the intent drawn from the question. But Yoko is correct XIV has Classes and Jobs, Jobs are the end game, but everyone starts as a class, which all have names that aren't FF feeling while the jobs something that's very FF has the names that are in tone.
I would say that I probably enjoy healing the most lately, it's a support role not a lot of people always like doing. And I have fun doing it, though Black Mage is still my favorite job to play in the game until they give us Dancer.
Curious? There's no limits but your own imagination.

I don't have much experience with FFXIV, but in general I like healing and DPSing in most MMOs. Tanking, while of vital importance to the team, doesn't have many opportunities to shine or push themselves, or compete for some level of character mastery. As a healer or DPS I'm always trying to top the charts. A lot of games put a lot of restrictions on what a tank can actually do, as well. In most cases, no matter how good at your job you are, a tank's survivability depends mostly on his healers. Meanwhile a crazy good healer or DPS can actually change your approach to a fight. Back when I played WoW, my second raid group had 3 phenomenally good healers, I healed on my Druid at the time. We were good enough that we could completely ignore a lot of fight mechanics just because we could successfully heal the shitstorm. In my primary group where I DPSed, we reworked a lot of our strategies around the fact that our hunter and I could collectively put out as much DPS as the rest of our group combined. Whenever I got stuck off tanking a fight on my DPS character, I was always bored out of my mind, because there just wasn't really anything like that where I could push myself or think up a better build or more efficient rotation to improve my performance.
For Our Lord Sheogorath, without Whom all Thought would be linear and all Feeling would be fleeting. Blessed are the Madmen, for they hold the keys to secret knowledge. Blessed are the Phobic, always wary of that which would do them harm. Blessed are the Obsessed, for their courses are clear. Blessed are the Addicts, may they quench the thirst that never ebbs. Blessed are the Murderous, for they have found beauty in the grotesque. Blessed are the Firelovers, for their hearts are always warm. Blessed are the Artists, for in their hands the impossible is made real. Blessed are the Musicians, for in their ears they hear the music of the soul. Blessed are the Sleepless, as they bask in wakeful dreaming. Blessed are the Paranoid, ever-watchful for our enemies. Blessed are the Visionaries, for their eyes see what might be. Blessed are the Painlovers, for in their suffering, we grow stronger. Blessed is the Madgod, who tricks us when we are foolish, punishes us when we are wrong, tortures us when we are unmindful, and loves us in our imperfection.
