A Favor to ask of all PS3 users....

Wow! A post completely not related to Kingdom Hearts in any way! How shocking!

I'm asking this two days in advance so people can read my dilemma.

Anyway, I want to ask a favor to any PS3 players here. See, there's this game I'm interested in, called MAG. It's a multiplayer game supporting 256 players. The thing is that there is an open Beta that will be available Jan. 4 on the Playstation Store for free download. It only lasts from the 4th to the 10th. The problem for me is that I'm on vacation from that time and I have no access to my PS3.

I was hoping someone would download it and give me their opinions on the game. Here are some questions that would help me out on deciding to buy it or not:

1. Do the guns feel realistic enough or not? Are you able to get multiple weapons to use at once?

2. (This is a big one) Does it take a while to join a game and is their any serious lag while playing?

3. Are the missons simple (like head to this location) and easy or do they have some complexity (like take out this structure and hold the area while reinforcements drop in)?

4. The game is designed so that your faction is divided into patrols and squads. Do these features play any importance in gameplay. Are specific squads assigned specific objectives?

5. Finally, I'm interested in the faction called RAVEN. They are a high tech group with more sophisticated technology than the others. Does this group play well?

You can post other opinions besides these. Again if this is breaking any rules, please inform the Mod Squad. If you guys don't know what the F@ck I'm talking about, here's the link to the wikipedia article for info:

There was a closed Beta going on for quite a while that ended not too long ago. I guarantee that if you google "MAG beta impressions" or something similar, you'll find what you're looking for either from a site like IGN or on a forum. You could also do the same after the public beta concludes to get an impression of any changes that were made.

I was planning on downloading it anyway so I'm down for giving you feedback. From what I've read I'm kind of expecting some hardcore lagging. 256 players at once seems like a hell of a task and if they can pull it off, I'll be very impressed.

Well I've already download it, just gotta wait till it goes online. So i'll try and help you out

1. Not really Sure, I was using a Light Machine Gun (RPD i think) and there didn't seem to be that much recoil which is a bit unrealistic. Not Sure about the rest of guns.

2. Depends if there is open space, i found it quite fast to get into a game

3. The only available game mode on the Beta was sabotage, capture and hold A & B targets, i think they will be more complex like you said (Destroy tower and hold for reinforcements)

4. Yeah, different squads normally run for different targets, in sabotage there isn't really a structure there's only 3 targets a think it will change depending on game type

I have never heard of a game named MAG.
What sort of games is it? Can anyone give me more info?
