Did anyone ever play this game? It was developed by Namco but it had Cloud and some other FFVII characters in it (including Dyne, I think). I never played it but I always thought it looked fun to control Cloud in a real time fight
was it any good?

It was okay. I think you would probably have to be a pretty darned big fan boy/girl to really enjoy it. Not played it in years, but I can't imagine it will have survived the test of time very well. The original characters were pretty boring.
It had an RPG mode which was pants.
It was nice how you could run around the ring/stages becuase they were 3D. Me and some friends were really mature kids and would play "grab ass" sometimes with a few of the Final Fantasy characters. Good times....^^;
I always wanted to play it when I was younger and final fantasy comsumed my life. All I know about it is that its a fighting game that has characters from ff7 and 8 (I think). Not so interested in it now but wouldn't mind owning a copy since I hear theyre just as valuable as older FF titles.
Noone from FF8 is in it.
Dyne is not in it, the main character looks like he's Dyne almost.
I think 1 or 2 FF7 characters are actually unique? Vincent and Yuffie use other character movesets.

Well, as a pretty big FF and fighting game nerd I really enjoyed the game. The previous comments were right on about it having almost zero creative depth though. However, the game is almost impossible to find just lying around. The real challenge of the game is prying it out of collectors hands. I was lucky enough to walk in to a local retro gaming store a couple of years ago and find it brand new for $8.00.
