Drakengard 3 Confirmed for NA and EU Release

Drakengard and Nier fans will be excited to know that Square Enix confirmed this week that they will be releasing Drag-on Dragoon 3 (Drakengard 3) in the NA and EU regions. The date has not been set yet, but expect it out in 2014 for the PS3. It is important to know that North America will be receiving the game in both retail and digital form, while Europe will only have the game available digitally.

On a nonrelated note, I'm very excited for this game to come out. I have missed Drakengard more than I can explain. It's too bad Caim and Angelous won't be in this game. The game won't be the same without them.

It is supposed to be a prequel to the games and other people have mentioned might be possible for Angelous to show given his age.

The game is supposed to be dark, violent and mature. The main character enters berserk mode once her cloths are completely soaked in the blood of her enemies. She is also out to kill her five sisters for the simple sake of doing so apparently. She also has three male companions that follow her, all of which she has sex with if I remember the lore correctly.

So yeah, rather dark and adult game coming from Square Enix.

Given the apparent goal in this game, would we be the protagonist or the antagonist?

I haven't played more than a demo of Drakengard years ago, so I unfortunately am not up on the characters.

Zero is an anti-hero, still the protagonist, just not your normal noble or naive hero.

I never knew drakengard and nier were connected till reading an article on this to be released game. I may check this series out.
