Disgaea Dimension 2 Announced

NIS has been teasing a "Project D" for a while now. Most speculated that the game would probably have something do with Disgaea and figured it was Disgaea 5. It would seem people were not too far off from the mark. NIS announced today that their previously unannounced Project D, a game that is part of their 20th anniversary series of games, is in fact Disgaea Dimension 2.

NIS will have more details about the game later with a teaser site going up in 12 days. So we'll have to wait a little while before we know more about it. The information known so far is that it is for the PS3 and has a release date of March 20, 2013. An image shown as part of the game's announcement showed off many of the characters from the first Disgaea game and standard recruits that players have come to recognize over the course of the games.

UPDATE: NIS has confirmed the game to be a sequel to the original Disgaea.
