Digimon Tamagotchi

Have any of you ever had one of these?



I had one of these when they first came out, as a kid. I remember battling my brother and dad constantly, raising the things to the Ultimate Stage.

Anyways, I found an app on the Android Market this morning, "AndroGochi" and it's EXACTLY the same thing. Oh, the nostalgia.... I've been raising the thing ever since. I can't stop. Online battles included? Hell yeah!!!


Err, anyways, what I was curious about, is have any of you played one of these? Or any other Tamagotchi / Giga-Pet?

I totally had these when I was like in 7th grade! Had an original Tamagotchi, a Nano Baby and a Talking Nano Baby (which was like carrying a freaking brick around...). They were super popular to have, and eventually my school banned 'em. When that happened, my mom would have to "babysit" the things. She didn't enjoy it at all.

Didn't really like the Nano Baby things too much, but I loved the Tamagotchi. Might be because there were variations with what they evolved to that depended on how you took care of 'em. ^^ Pretty neat.

I had the exact same Tamagotchi, no battles, you could only take care of it. That little ****er used to wake me up early in the morning to feed him, suffice to say that didn't last long.

I had the original Tamagotchi Digimon. Whatever it was actually called.
Had the first generation of the walker too. Where you walk (or shake) and you end up in battles and such.

I've had 3 tamagotchis. Some special edition trex one. An older one, and in high school I got a 4.5

Hecky naw somebody still have one of thoese I used to have one of thoese when I was young...broke the dang thing I didn't undstand how it worked man o man brings back memories thanks for this thread.

I had a Tamagotchi growing up, as well as a froggy Giga Pet. I would always name the froggy after a Planet (including Pluto, because it was still a Planet then). And somehow, I still have the Giga Pet. The batteries were dead in it, so I bought a couple for it four years ago. And it still worked! The thing was eight years old (in Earth time). I put it in my closet with my other toys when I got bored with it. I took the batteries out of it, and put them in my watch.

hahhah, Tamagotchi were the craze in 7th grade like Dodie said. Later in high-school though, Dreamcast had that Sonic Adventures game or what ever the name was and you could put those Chao pets on the VMU cards and raise them on the go ..my girlfriend and I were fanatics over the game because of that feature.

I wish I still had mine. I disliked the rich kid who had like five of them, and would battle himself to get really strong and get all the different possible evolutions. Jokes on him though, he had 5x as much shit to shovel up.
