Tomohiro Shibuya and Hidetaka Miyazaki from FROM Software have been talking more about their recently announced game, Dark Souls II. One of the big new pieces of information from an interview is that the game will be running on a new engine that Shibuya helped work on. The new engine is said to affect the visuals for the game the most. This may mean an improved framerate for the game, something that areas of the past game Dark Souls suffered from in a couple of areas.
They continue to state that the core of the series will remain. Even though they are wanting to make the game more understandable and accessible it will remain a dark fantasy game with the difficulty being important. This is something that may fans have become concerned about after their previous interview with Edge magazine. The world map will also retain the same interconnected areas like in Dark Souls.
