The Contra games

So alot of us know about this sidescrolling action shooter with co-op 2 player mode where you go from level to level blasting down aliens and getting powerups at different points in each stage. Which contra game do you like the best and what draws you to that title more than any other title?

My favorite is a tie between Contra 3 and ReBirth, the reason why I love these titles is because there is a dual weapon feature where you can switch between your weapons. The music in the games are pretty good too.

By far the first Contra on NES, but to be honest I really don't know why I like it so much. I mean I broke two joypads while trying to beat the damn game, I yelled, screamed, cursed, but still, for some strange reason I love this game. Nostalgia, or just being one of my first games, not sure why but I simply love it. Close second would be Super Contra, I also have to mention Operation C (GB) and Contra IV (NDS) who're also great games.
