"Coma" by wittyhobos

"Coma" is a flash game on Newgrounds. It was created by a guy named Thomas Brush (wittyhobos), and it is actually a pretty neat experience.

I played through it twice already. It's not a long game at all. My second time playing it took me like ten minutes to complete it, but I did have a bit of trouble on my first playthrough.

I played this the other night actually, didn't he make a lot of other stuff similar to it on Stickpage? Anyway, this game was pretty good lol I got a tad annoyed with the waiting on the trampoline to break the atmosphere. Oh, another thing that confused me, the little bird who flew with you. . . was he friend or foe? He helped you, but in the end it turns out he deceived you. What do you think?

I was reading through the comments section on Newgrounds, and it was really interesting to read everyone's interpretation, like what they felt the things in the game were supposed to symbolize and stuff.

To be honest, I got kind of creeped out the first time when

SPOILER!!:

Bird said that he/she was lying about Pete's sister being stuck in the basement.

I was like "Oh, crap... Something's going to pop out and scare me or something!" As for whether or not Bird was there to be a friend or foe:

I definitely think s/he was there to help, so I say friend. Maybe saying that Pete's sister was trapped in the basement was the only way to motivate Pete to ring the "dore bell", and to escape that world.

That's only my interpretation anyway.

Honestly I found it to be a fun game but the ending sucked. I am on my third play though seeing if there is actually a way

to make it out of the damn basement. I have bounced all over the room the first play though and the second one I tried to use the fruit. There is no way out.

oh wait on my third play though I did the same thing I did the second play though

and this time it opened the floor exit in the basement.

Not sure what happened between the 2 play thoughs and it took almost 3 minutes for the next area to open up after bouncing around for a while

I was an interesting game over all but to me it lacked alot.

It was alright but I have played some flash games that beat the crap out of that one. I still can't believe that it took over a year to make that one.

I knew that he said that he lied to me but I expected something to jump out at me or some kind of monster to be down there like Dodie did.

As far as the bird being a friend or a foe,

I would say even though he did say that he lied to you it was his sister trying to wake him from his coma by giving him a way out. Here is a question for you though, what do you think that monster looking thing that was in the sky represented? The one that told him not to ring the dore bell
