Capcom just announced a new mega man title (about time right?) after all that waiting for a new mega man game, they announce a Mega Man X social RPG for the apple IOS handhelds, you can see where this is going, right? even better, this is capcom's idea of commemorating the 25th anniversary of the megaman games.

After they nixed the Megaman MMO that was in the works, I don't know what to think about Capcom anymore. Word was, they were slowly going to back out of Rockman games only releasing spin offs until they can do something to strengthen it's fan base again.. we'll see how this goes.
I remember the very 1st "Nintendo Power" I read had Megaman 2 on the cover and was instantly hooked. I am not impressed with the current DS new-era. I have no idea how a touchscreen version of the game would work but I guess it's better than nothing.

Look what they done to Resident evil, there is no hope for Megaman

TBH i was never mad about megaman, havent played him since the nes, cant remember which one it was i loved, it was the one that when you killed the end of lvl boss, you got their power for the next level.

After that, Megaman never looked appealing to play, pretty sure because i didnt like the ones before that one or the one after it, so gave up on it.

From what I have heard they hold a lot of rights to certain games but never do anything with them, that might be in part due to having a big library but its rather annoying.

    Namco Bandai is just as bad but mostly with translations, I want my Idolm@ster 2 and Tales of Vesperia for PS3 ;_;

Honestly, I'm more concerned with Capcom trimming their games, all to sell more DLC's, likes of laughable true ending DLC to Wrath of Asura, even worse locking and selling content from disk itself.

As for Megaman, I'm on the same boat as Nix, last Megaman I played was the Zero series.

I think I am the only person excited for this game.

I realize that its the 25th anniversary game and that is a shameful showing.
But they are bringing villains and heroes from many series.
I'm hoping that it means that I can play a different kind of level from each Megaman. Sounds like a great game that could kill time for me, rather than Words with Friends.

I have officially given up on Capcom. The last Capcom game I bought was Resi Evil Operation Raccoon City, and it sucked! It was and underdeveloped mess, even with a good idea behind it.

But bad games are not why I gave up. The fact they basically took the essence of a good fighting game from SFxT, unlockables, and made them DLC. All to make a little bit of money. There is a reason why that game was a flop compared to the expectations that game had. Also, the time exclusive demo for RE6 for PS3 (even though I have all platforms, people should be pissed about this), and even a few years ago when they announced that they would not release exclusive content for certain consoles, and released Dead Rising: Case West solely for Xbox a week later.

It's a cool idea, but the fact that it looks like a REALLY lazy effort AND it's iOS exclusive is what's turning off a lot of fans.

See, here's the thing. It took me a lot of time to realize this, but...

Capcom is a business. It's a company. Companies/businesses need money to live/survive in this vast, harsh world. Also, they are DLC. ...They are optional. You do not need to purchase them. They are not making you do anything. If you do not like their practices, vote with your wallet. That is what I am doing. I am tempted to even trade in SFxT, because I got my Poison fix after beating her little story.

If you had a company, you'd be doing what you could to rake in the dough, too. So you can't really blame Capcom. Sure, some of their practices are bad and other companies do it too, but.. it's all optional and not mandatory. Just don't buy the stuff.

Although yeah, the iOS game is uh.. yeah. People are butt hurt because it's smart phone exclusive. If it was for the PC, I don't think there'd be much of a complaint as there is now.

But yeah, putting DLC in the disc isn't very good. Day 1 DLC is fine as long as it's NOT on the disc... IMO, but.. eh. Although the reason for it being on the disc is usually "to save bandwidth/hard drive space/convenience." so whatever.

The main issue here is that it looked like capcom just slapped something together and gave it online play, it doesn't look like much effort was made into the game, that's how i see it anyway.

Ca$hcom may be a company but you're not going to sell games well if you don't respect the fans that are actually the ones that are giving you the money.

If you don't respect the fanbase you'll have no fans and you'll have no games selling for your company. These are lessons that Capcom and SqEnix need to learn.

Because Capcom are treating their fans wrongly their fans are getting tired of their BS and they're starting to leave. A relationship between company and gamer is almost like a relationship between two people; you get tired of their BS and you leave, because you shouldn't have to deal with their crap 'nuff said.

They made Edgeworth games, which is a sin in itself. Why Capcom, why?

I realize Capcom has done a lot of stupid things.
But I find it kind of silly for bashing them for bringing an exclusive out on iOS.

Had it been a Vita exclusive title or a xbox 360 title. Most people would have just been like eh. Looks cool (or bad in this instance), but I can't play it anyways.

You can't always give everything to everyone. They are trying to appeal to a large number of Mobile Phone gamers. Which actually a good number of them don't even casually game outside of their phone.

Its not a bad idea, except for the fact that it has the potential to be a bad game. But if it could be a good game, it will get a good reception, reviewed by gaming sites and iDevice sites. Not to mention word of mouth. I know I'd tell a few people if it was a good game or not.

Yeah it seems like a lot of people dislike the fact its just going to be an IOS game (myself included) but my main complaint is that its a social rpg game, and i've been waiting for a new mega man game to come out since the franchise has been inactive for a long time.

The only reason I'm sad with Capcom is that there will most likely never be a new Breath of Fire game :/ here's hoping Camelot can get a hold of the series and not butcher it like Golden Sun.
