Bravely Default's Summons Revealed

Bravely Default has many of the traditional components found in JRPGs. And with the producer having worked on past FF ports, he has familiarity with the series. So it is not a surprise to know that there summons for Bravely Default. Since this is not a FF related game, they had to search for different names. They still follow the similar trend of being based off mythology.

There are five summons currently revealed. It is unknown if there are more than the ones reveals. The first in Prometheus which makes a fire breathing train appear. Prometheus comes from the Greek mythology of the individual that gave fire to humans. Next is Ziusudra is a water type summon that brings forth a woman sending a flood over the battlefield. The origin of Ziusudra is a flood myth from the Sumerians. Hraesvelgr is a summon that is an airplane that becomes a bird attacking all enemies with wind elements. Hraesvelgr comes from Norse mythology that sat in the heavens creating wind from the movement of his wings. Girtablilu is an earth summon in the form of a scorpion that causes quakes from pounding the earth with its claws. The last summon shown is Deus Ex, a machine summon that is lightning based attacking enemies with lightning. This one doesn't seem to come from mythology, but the phrase Deus Ex Machina.
