This bothers me deeply.

Ive noticed a trend in the games today, as I suppose we all have. Nothing original is really out there anymore. Either its a re-make, a movie based game, or a knock off of something else. Im not bashing any of the games, just hoping that one day something NEW will come forth. My idea of a new game would be a game of Life. You grow up from a baby and as you grow up you can do whatever you want, live the life you wish to live. If you do something that would kill you, then you die and become a newborn baby in a different part of the world maybe even in a different time setting. I think I would go on a killing spree and rob a bank in the game and see how long it took the cops to find me. What kind of games would you like to see made?

There is still originality out there, its just becoming more scarce to find.
Since gaming had such a boom in the 90's and 00's the market really just expanded to fast.

What kind of game would I really like to see? Thats a tough one, Never really though about it.

Video game industry evolved way too fast, huge area has been covered in that process leaving little to nothing that can pass as new these days, in other words almost everything has already been done, I guess with new consoles and new technology introduced we'll see something truly new. As for what kind of video games I would love to see, honestly, I'm already content as it is.

Replace video games with the entertainment industry and there you go. I'm not really bothered by it personally. As long as the game is fun, has good gameplay and a story that works, I don't care if it's a new IP, a remake or what-have-you. Should I care? Maybe. But every person has different gaming standards so no two people will have the exact same opinion on how fresh or original any given game is. I mean, I enjoyed Tokyo Jungle and I'm also having a lot of fun with the new Tomb Raider. So it's not mutually exclusive, it's just about what I feel like playing at any given time. The industry is certainly large enough that there's room for everything, some games are just a bit harder to find than others.
