I would be more worried about what kind of CD cases you put them in

Anyways, its always a good idea to keep your games in their original cases if you can because they can easily get damaged or scratched if you leave them lying around. If the original case has junk in it or is broken, just find a replacement case. if its just slightly dented or have a worn label then you don't have anything to worry about.
