    Batman: Arkham Asylum

This game is good. Really good. You'd never expect a super hero game to be this well thought out. Sneaking around in rafters, swooping across, silently taking out thugs and being somewhere completely different by the time someone notices...I actually feel like I'm Batman. The story is excellent, and the gameplay is epic. Soundtrack is amazing, and speeds up as you get into tighter situations, etc. It's all there.

Anyone who's a fan of The Bat should definitely pick this up, or at the very least rent it. It has plenty of replay value too, seeing as there are challenge modes and the game is pretty damn challenging on hard mode. You can download the free demo on the playstation network (not sure about xbox) as well.

I agree! This game is really great, and the overall design is spectacular. I actually think that even if people aren't that big of a fan of Batman they will still enjoy this game, because there is characters bios and such to help explain some of the backstory. This is a superhero game, but it's one of the more mature ones. So, be prepared for some really twisted stuff to be going on in this game.

I'm not too far in the game yet, but I like where it's taking me so far. Loved the encounter with Scarecrow. It was pretty creepy, especially in the morgue. That's all I'm gonna say about that.

Overall, I say this game is totally worth a buy. You won't be disappointed, and if you play it and are disappointed, then you are just too damn hard to please.

I'm loving it right now. I second Dodie16's thought on Scarecrow...very freaky. I like how they give allusions to the villians not in this game. Let's see, right now I'm at:

    Spoiler:
The gardens after you beat Harley and the scary lunatics are released.

I also like the Joker DLC on the PS3. I've always wanted to play as him!

I just beat the game on hard mode a couple hours ago. Man, what a game. The Scarecrow was so awesome in this game! I pretty much played it since yesterday afternoon all until I beat it today.

The joker is hard to play for me. He doesn't have the X-ray vision at all times like batman, he has to stand still in an upright position (so no hiding) to use it. He also can't swing around and use the gargoyles like Batman can. Using him to take out the guards is really hard. You basically have to be really good at the combat, or sneaking around without using any of Batman's gadgets with a lot of patience.

My friend lent it to me last week, i thought it was superb!
I feel that it is better than any other superhero game because it wasn't taken from a movie, if you see my point?
But at the end of the day it was an excellent game! Lets just hope they dont ruin it by making a sequel!

    lol

Anyway, I'm around 5 hours in. So far it's really good, not a single to complain about.
Still, I don't enjoy it all that much, I guess it's just not really my kind of game.
I guess for action games I prefer the ultra flashy ones like DMC. Never been that much of a Batman fan, especially not when he doesn't look like Micheal Keaton and Joker doesn't look like Jack Nicholson. -_-

    Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum

I played the demo once and at the time, i thought it was good but not something I'd buy. Later, I decided to give the demo another shot and I began to appreciate it much more, now I want to play the full game.
