Good news for EU/PAL consumers: the Vita is region-free, so you don't need to wait unless you want it localized in a language other than English. Capitalize upon the opportunity!

Persona 4 was a PS2 game from Atlus that exist as part of the larger collection of Shin Megami Tensei games. The Persona series is a bit of an off shoot from what would be considered the main series, but it still carries many of the series traditions. Already released in Japan, Atlus is bringing over to the NA regions Persona 4: Golden the Vita remake of the PS2 original. Unlike the past remake they made to the portable for Persona 3, Golden will retain all the content and visuals from the PS2 game and come with even more things to look forward to.
The video helps to rundown the list of things that Atlus has added to the game. For those not wanting to watch the video, here is the list in text.
Updated Background Art
New Battle Music
Evolved Personas for your party members
Team Attacks as well as Bike Attacks
New Opening Movie with new song "Everyone's Voice"
"Midnight Quiz" run by Teddie
Rise's New Support Abilities
New Bug Catching Mini-Game
New Character (Marie) with Social Links
New Events, like Beach Trip, Summer Festival and Skiing Trip
New Areas in the town to Explore
Sneaking out at night
New Personas
You can look forward to P4: Golden for the Vita November 20. For those in the EU territories, NISA is going to be publishing it, which is scheduled for a Spring 2013 release.

Agreed, P4 was one of the best RPGs on the PS2 so it is great opportunity to play the game if you haven't. If I'm lucky, I'm going to be getting the special Golden Edition or whatever it is called that was limited to a run of 10,000 that comes with a Vita case and some other cool stuff. So I'll be losing a lot of time playing that in November, but loving every minute of it.

Pretty excited for this, already got the Golden edition on reserve from Amazon.
Sadly, I wish I had played more of this at Pax Prime, its just not a very good game to play a demo of. Its long and time demanding, something that isn't the best to look for at Pax.
I can say that it looks awesome on the Vita, its gorgeous.
Just ordered 2 copies from the USA for myself and my girlfriend. When I found out that europe wouldnt get a release date until feb 2013, I realised that I would have to import because there is no way I would be waiting that long for this gem that Is almost already available to me. My retail importer will recieve the game nov 25th, so I should expect to have it a day or 2 after that. Unfortunatly, I wont be able to play it until after christmas because its a christmas present for my gf and she doesnt know im importing it so she cant very well be seeing me playing it >_>
ARGH IM SUCH A GOOD FKN BOYFRIEND.
This game is slowly swaying my original thoughts on not getting a vita....I never played it for the Ps2 but it seems like there is no loss for that.
EBG
The case the Golden Edition came with is super sexy, and the hard cover with screen lid is very slick. I like it a lot.
Of course, it goes without saying that the game is phenomenal.

Im so fkn excited. Heres the dillemma. I have been considering giving this to her as an early christmas present, as she has given me final fantasy anthology and final fantasy origins original ps1 editions as an early christmas present, so im thinking I should reciprocate. The thing is, This is something she truly wont be expecting because she thinks its not region free (mwhahaha) and it wont be available until feb next year. She is REALLY looking forward to playing it, so I figured giving it to her early is definitely in the cards. What do you think i should do?

Anyone else strongly addicted yet? I've always loved the series and to have every Persona game on my Vita is amazing. I'm blown away by all the extras they've packed in on top of what was already a very solid game. Perhaps it's more a fan reaction, but I was quite excited when I saw all the content those channels add before you even load up a save.

I barley received mine just the other day.
For some reason it took Amazon a little longer to get the Golden Editions to people than the regular.
Played about 4 hours so far.
Between playing that, Halo 4, Dishonored, and making a halo montage sadly I don't have enough time for all of them :/
