*SPOILERS!* Heavy Rain ending thoughts/feelings

And about getting arrested...

Spoiler: (...) Considering I didn't get caught by the police during the motel chase I never got to Ethan arrested. So I'm curious to know how that plays out as well.

Spoiler: Well, the person who posted before me got an ending where Ethan escaped from jail. In my case, he never did, and he never went to the warehouse. Jayden did, and Madison. Ethan was only released in the end, where Shaun's mom brings the kid to see his father.

I decided to replay the game anyway. I muted the sound and kept looking away during most of the beginning. I'm rationalising it with that thing Che said about seeing the different ways doing something in life turns out and the really pretentious I'm an artist so it's my responsibility to see how this game works and bla bla bla. I'm still having a hard time replaying such an emotional experience though, especially Ethan's scenes.

Spoiler: I'm following this guide I was shown where the game has you get the ending where Shelby gets away, and then you don't have to go further back than to right after the third trial to get the rest of the endings, so that's nice I guess.

Spoiler: I'd also like to know what happens if you kill the Origami Killer as early as possible. I realize that most of the trials are pre-recorded and end up just giving you a new recording from somewhere in the area you end up, except for the final one. He sends the last to him live on his phone after he drinks the poison.

Spoiler: You can't. Just like most of the other Shelby scenes you're being tricked. It's impossible to kill him off when you're in control of him. He just makes it anyway, maybe badly bruised or hurt, but alive. For example if you let him get beat up when he's visiting Lauren in his first scene he's just visible hurt for a while similar to how Norman's pants are drenched in mud in the following scene if you climb up to the train tracks in his first one.

Spoiler: Also, I should have known you couldn't kill him. I intentionally let the guy beat me up a bit and then cut me with the glass bottle in the first scene.
