David eyed the smoker critically. There were kids cramed in this room too...
He set his roach down on the floor next to the nervous techie. David used his tweezers and small screwdriver from his pocket kit to remove the ember and placed the joint in his shirt pocket. As an afterthought, he realized the point of his tools were razor sharp. David palmed the tweezers and screwdriver into separate shirt cuffs before scanning for an exit.
The techie followed the smoker for a short way before noticing a fight breaking out amid isolated pockets of arguing. David took a new route though the crowded room and spotted a woman slipping past the soldiers. He cut a new path to pass by even the woman who'd had the idea first.
As David moved closer, he watched her say a few words to a young boy. Her face snapped from a smile to wide-eyed surprise before she struck him to the ground. The nervous techie continued past at a slightly faster pace, but the girl began to take a step back and crashed into David. He followed through and nearly knocked her to the floor as she shouted about having to defend herself. David didn't pause for a moment, he continued quickly pacing toward the exit.
