Err.....my apologies, but this is will be my first MMORPG (or whatever the hell they are called) EVER, so may I ask.....what's a linkshell/guild thing?

As for a name for whatever a linkshell is, I'd go with anything that has "Thefinalfantasy" or "TFF" in it.
