Life in the City of Death

Alexandria, Gaia, - Terror has struck the once war hungry lands of Alexandria. As Queen Brahne Alexandros arrived home from her demise in battle ready for burial, the land she loved so much now turned into a ghost of its former glory.

The pride of the city, Alexandria castle with it's pinnacle sword like foundation that glistened with the aura of the Eidolon Alexander, is nothing more then a pile of rubble; undistinguishable from it surrounding areas. The embers from the maelstrom of fire of the attack have yet to fizzle out.

As a last striking blow the newly appointed Queen, Garnet til Alexandros XVII, refuses to speak to her people. It is rumored that she has become mute due to the turn of events in her lands. There have been no confirmations of this though.

General Beatrix of the Alexandria military has declared a state of marshal law as looters and pillagers have begun to appear with-in the cities walls. "We are currently to few in numbers to support the on growing threat," said Beatrix in reference to the looters and pillagers, "in this time of difficulties we all need to stand together as one unified nation and defend what is ours; the kingdoms safety is at risk and with the Onion Knights helping in the rebuild efforts we just will not have the numbers we need to defend against another attack if we focus on inner city petty crimes."

Most of the people that have returned after evacuating the city during the attack have come back to find their homes destroyed, loved ones lost, and famine through out the city. Hospitals are past capacity with the injured, tents have been set up for those who have less severe injuries. Cemeteries are lined with bodies that have yet to find a final resting place. The homeless run the street in search of a dry place to rest their heads for the night. The shock of the attack has worn off and the realization of the current states of affairs has become a waking nightmare for all that have been affected by the destruction.

There is one major thought in the minds of the citizens; to rebuild the city and surpass its former glory. With the aid of the Onion Knights this dream does not seem that far out of reach but will be a long time in the works. Alexandrians and soldiers from all over the kingdom have appeared to help with the rebuild efforts and to aid in bringing in food. Makeshift wagons are being made to help bring food and supplies back into the city. Water has been redirected to the remaining residential areas of the city. Most of the businesses that still stand are trying to reopen with out much avail.

Rubble in the disaster zones is already being moved away slowly to clear the way for new buildings. Each useable stone is being set aside to be reused as foundations for each new home, to help remind people of the days of glory and to help future generations remember the past.

Two of the shops that have managed to reopen, the local weapons and armor shop, have reported a combined 196% increase in sales. Citizens are encouraged to defend what ever belongs to them.
