ShinRa Goes Green

Midgar – Gaia – President Shinra announced today about his plans of going green. The ShinRa Corporation has been known for its superior weapons research and development, but in an effort to make the world a safer place they have decided to go another route. With the recent discovery of Mako, a clean and over abundant source of power, the world will be rid of its dependency on coal and fossil fuels.
In an interview with President Shinra he said, “We have our top researchers developing means to harness this untapped power, with Dr. Hollander and Professor Hojo spear heading the operations, we should have 3 prototype reactors up and running within the years end; one located at Neibliheim, in the heart of Mt. Nibel, and the other two located outside of Corel and Gongaga.” When questioned about the negative repercussions that could affect the world he scoffed and stated, “There will be no repercussions, the world produces a limitless surplus of Mako, we have ran extensive live tests and all seem to show the same results, to put it simply Mako is harmless.”

Shinra has already opened a new branch named the Shinra Electric Power Company and holds all of the patents on the idea of Mako formed energy. Shinra has also created new sub-branches within the new company dedicated to Weapons Development, Public Safety, Urban Development, Space Exploration, and even a Science Department.

“The person responsible for creating the new reactors is a man named Reeve Tuesti,” said the president “And I have gave him the role of Director of Urban Development section, so that he can find new ways to develop uses for this newly found source of power and make it ready for use in every home through out Gaia.”

When asked what would happen to the coal miners and other people that are involved with the fossil fuel industry he simply said, “They will be taken care of”. Shinra has already purchased the coal mines surrounding the town of Corel and plans on shutting it down with in the next 4 years in hopes to promote Mako driven power. Shinra has promised that when the mines do shut down that every worker will have a job with in the company.

Shinra has also almost finished their giant city known as Midgar. The 8 reactors there should be up and running within 2 years. And the groundwork has already been laid out for the new Shinra headquarters, the pinnacle of their achievements, located in the heart of the upper plate.
So as for now the future is looking very bright and clean, so stand together and support the Shinra Company in their efforts to provide a more tranquil slice of life and as they bring us one step closer to Utopia.
