An RP suggestion

The time has come. I've been wanting to RP for ages, but either haven't found a good thread to join, or haven't had the time to create a new RP.

Then, it hit me.

It seems that way for everyone. That we all have our own things to do throughout life, and that we either do not have enough interest to join a legit, well thought out RP, or we don't have enough time to consistantly be a part of it, or we just don't have the time to think out a good RP.

so, here is my suggestion.

We start a whole new section (possibly), or a whole new RP, that is entirely free based. Let's call it "Forum World" for now, just for a name (is terrible at naming stuff).

Forum World can consist of any idea ever created, and it is entirely open. What I mean by that, is you can join at any moment, and leave at any moment. your decision won't affect the outcome of the RP.

Forum World, where it is open, can have 1 plot, a thousand plots, or no plots. It depends entirely on the posters themselves to create a plot to play within. Twenty posters could be saving the world from a gigantic version of Chuck Norris, and five posters could all be playing Go against each other.

If we do this in a single RP, things would be confusing to follow, hence why I suggested a new section. Say, it is in it's own section within the RP section. Under "Forum World", you could have the "Main" thread, where all general action takes place. "Sidequests", where you could delve into some random adventure, or "misc", where the remaining bouts of nonsense is caught.

We make a whole new section that's exactly like the RP forum we already have. You know you can make any kind of RPs you want in the RP forum, right?

I mean, that it can consist of any plot as well. Because some RP's are limited to what they can do, because of the theme, or the plot, or the setting. With Forum world, you can have everything in one package, with a free roaming Rp. I was trying to imagine a thread where everyone could participate and do their own thing without fear of going too far away from the "goal" of the RP.

Sounds like an okay idea, but what I mean is, you can use the RP forum for that.
Just make an open-ended RP.

We used to have a lot of those, but they never finished because people lost interest and what not.

I am aware of that Sheena. I was implying we did something like that once, or didn't we try Factions before way before I joined.

Factions. One world, one conflict, everyone can have their own story within the plot.

If that is what Factions was not then I am wrong.

Ruin wants something completely different than factions.
He basically just wants an Open-Ended RP.

Factions are more centered on fighting and things of that nature, and are tons more in depth with a large singular world.

Ruin's "Forum World" is basically... the RP forum. -_-

As the moderator for the RP Forums, Shadow is correct. What you want to do Ruin is what the RP Forums are already built for. I accept any and all types of settings and methods for RPing. So long as you don't use asterisks or shorthand that is. If you want an open ended RP that you can jump in and out of without consequences then you should just make it. I won't stop you from any time of story telling format you want to create. I encourage everyone to try out what makes them feel comfortable and ease. Which is why I try to promote the social RPing with the Quistis Ball. To show there is something else out there that isn't just swords and magic.

I was participating in Factions for the big Plot, not the battling.

But yes, Ruin we have Forum World, it's called the RP section.
