Those outsiders you see everywhere with the green HP gauge will kill enemies for you if you let them. However, they are not invincible, as they can die. They also serve as another purpose: filling out your Bestiary. I believe the Bestiary has an entry for the Garifs, which can be done by killing off a Garif in the Osmone Plains or something. To target one of them, just click the R1(?) button until the cursor locks on to them. You can attack them, and they most likely won't attack you back. However, there are exceptions, as attacking some will result in them attacking you. Be careful, though, because they might be more powerful than you.

i tried seeing if i could attack him when i first saw him and they wouldnt target him so i just left him there taking my exp >.>

I forget whether they give you experience or not. But I do know one thing that you should be aware of: they of are a special type, so killing one of while you have a good chain will break the chain. I remember getting my Dustia chain over 100 and then killing off the Rabanastre Watch outside, forgetting that my chain would be broken by doing so.

Those green guys are known as the Garif.They are your allies but if you don't want their help I suggest you kill the enemy that the garif is fighting that way he has to go find another one then just avoid them
