This is untrue.
There's more storage space on the physical media and crafty developers can often use the multiple SPUs in the Cell processor to great effect, but it's not the case that the PS3 is definitively of better graphical quality than the 360.
The 360 has a stronger GPU, for instance, providing more graphical ram, and the architecture is far more simplistic and familiar than the PS3's, increasing the chance that developers will be able to properly utilize its full power.
It comes down to the efforts of the developers. If, like Naughty Dog for example, the developer is intimately familiar with the PS3's hardware, amazing things can be done, but if not, we wind up with slightly inferior versions or, worse, Bayonetta.
Until now!
That will almost never happen. The price for games at the moment is about $50-$60 no matter whether it is for PS3 (BLU-Ray) or XBOX 360 (DVD). Developers are not going to create enough content to fill a BLU-Ray disk and then offer a version for XBOX 360 with the extra content removed. At the moment whatever amount of game that can fit on a DVD is the standard and that means most games will be developed for the XBOX 360 and ported to the PS3. There will therefore be little difference between games on XBOX 360 or PS3 and I will buy the XBOX 360 version because I do not own a PS3.
