Old news I remembered?

I seem to recall that an IGN guy had seen FFXIII played in action a long time ago when he was interviewing SE about it. Does anyone remember him saying things like "...they were flying an airship through the town, and you couldn't see the end of it."?

I was just thinking about this recently. Imagine FFXII-like towns that are huge in scale, but imagine that times ten. Then imagine flying through them, controlling your airship. If this is indeed in the game, I am probably going to jizz my pants.

It would be a 'Next step' for SE, i believe they have not allowed you to travel through towns in vehicles yet? correct me if im wrong?
I am going to jizz my pants when it is released anyway, its the most anticipated game to date for me!

I really hope that you are right, Che. I think it would be so great to fly in an airship again. I don't think I had free reign over an airship since FFIX.

I found this while looking for some more info. It's pretty dated (2007. haha, sorry.), so there could be some more recent developments. I'll keep looking.

While Nomura admitted that Versus will still take a bit more time, he let slip a big hint on the final shape of the game: Versus may have airships and a world map.

I think that means that the main game may not have Airships, but Versus will.
