Mini-games?

I just watched the latest FFXIII trailer. It got me wondering, is there any leaked info on mini-games? I felt like FFXII lacked the mini-game aspect.. I've always been a sucker for them. I heard there's going to be a Chocobo mini-game similar to the digging ones in XI and IX. Personally, I would love for it to have an Eidolon racing game *_*.. those things look badass. Wouldn't mind seeing a card game or something, either. So what do you guys know/think?

The only thing that I know about any sort of mini-game as of right now are called Missions, and they function the same way as the hunts in FFXII (yay! I loved hunts!) Anyway, here's a bit of info that I got:

When in Pulse, there will be several points marked by large crystals where the party can acquire "Missions." These are similar in function to the Hunts in Final Fantasy XII and involve battling one of the many large monsters around Pulse. They are not part of the main story, but players can experience Focuses of other l'Cie. These l'Cie failed to complete their assignments, and thus their targets are still alive. It is up to the player whether to defeat the specified enemy, some of which have been compared by staff to mountains towering above the party. It is unknown whether there are other objectives than killing certain monsters.

By completing these tasks, the party can gain materials and items to improve their equipment. The main difference between the Hunts of Final Fantasy XII and the Missions of Final Fantasy XIII is while every Hunt can only be completed once, the player may take up each Mission multiple times.

Haha. I like that you can do Missions more than once. It sort of sucked that once you completed a Mark in XII, that was it...but it was a lot of fun while it lasted!

Damn.. I was hoping it wouldn't be centered around the hunt system again. I was bummed out that there wasn't enough mini-games in 12.. there better be other stuff.

no mini games...all the reviews say its more linear than FFX which is extremely disappointing..thats like jumping from XII to X..[retty weak.

Or from X to XII, you mean? I could go on hours and hours about why XII sucks, but I'd rather not . Anyways, there's still hope, I guess..

If it's so linear, then that means that the "Hunts" are going to be really easy to find, and that was part of the fun, well... maybe not fun, but I guess adventure?

And I agree with Violet, I need mini-games, especially to relax after grinding or a hard boss battle, or just to mess around with. I'm not a fan of FFXII at all... but I'm not getting into that rant either.

I've never really been a fan of mini-games. I've always disliked them. The only one I really liked was the snowboarding one on FF7, but that was it. Oh, and the Chocobo Digging ones on IX.

So I'm pretty indifferent about there being mini-games or not in FF13.

It would be really cool if there was a card game, like Triple Triad or Tetra Master because I love mini-games like that, I even enjoyed Sphere Break in X-2, I dunno, just something like that would be enjoyable for me personally.

I generally dont like minigames if they arent rewarding and the lack of them shows really how linear XIII is. But as long as this means that as a result of foregoing minigames more time is spent on making the game that much better, I wont complain.

As Far As I Know, I Don't Think That There Will Be Any Mini-games. I Don't Really Mind, Cause I Like The Rawness Of The Action And The Story. No Time For Mini-games...TRAIN TRAIN TRAIN!!! LEVEL UP LEVEL UP LEVEL UP!!! GET THE BEST GEAR IN THE GAME!!! LMAO XD
