Whats the gold and xp for?

Just now noticed that, is their a way to buy digital items on this forum with gold? Whats leveling up for? Why do I take damage? I'm such a forum newb....

This is probably the most asked question on TFF ever. You can check in the "How Do I?" section of the forum to make sure I'm not wrong, I'm sure there's at least 12 of these.

You can use your Gil however you want. You can give it away or use it to buy items from the Merchant. The items don't serve any real purpose other than to display in your inventory or give a "gift" to another member. To buy, you go to vBCommerce from the top navigation bar.

I don't remember what in the devil Level is for, but HP is supposed to represent your activity and exp is useless really, they're all just there to look cool nothing else. Rank changes depending on your post count.
