What is your worst final fantasy boss battle(s) that you hate most? My worst final fantasy boss battles are the 3rd battle with seymour in final fantasy x and tiamat in final fantasy ix because the 3rd battle with seymour is hard to survive because of the sword cleave move and tiamat because of the nasty moves it has when you face him( also you're in a bad location when you fight him)

I am Sephiroth's girl! We will rule over you! Challenge this couple if you dare!

There's a huge difference between boss battles I hate and the ones I have difficulties with. A difficult boss usually means a tough battle but for the same reason it can be an exciting one, that's why I enjoy fighting against some of the most challenging bosses in franchise. On the other hand, I really hate boss battles that are too simple and easy, not the early ones as those have to be easy, not necessarily, though, but against final boss or optional superboss that should be a challenge but proves to be a joke instead, a major letdown, bosses like Ultima and Omega Weapon from Final Fantasy X, Sephiroth, Sin/Yu Yevon, SoulCage, Genesis...

The worst boss battle I have ever encounter was on FFVII. It was the Red Dragon in the f*cking ruins. It was a bitch.
I never had much of problem with him, it used to be that Demons wall that got me lol the other FFVII was the machine in the Shinra sub docks. I can't remember what it was called tho, had two arms that used to pick the players up and had an butt kicking attack called something lapis laser.
In FFX Evrae was the worst (that I got too, never played X all the way through).
In FFIX it was Master Gizmalule, had to stock on looooads of potions for him and ended up wasting aload whilst trying to get though the damn cave.
My TFF Family
My FFVII addicted nephew: Secret weapon
My Bullet lovin half wolf cousin: Raider
My complete FFVII nut sister: Unkown entity
My Freya obsessed, grammar nazi brother: Doc rocco
I've honestly have had a harder time fighting some random encounters then bosses. The bosses usually have a routine they do, know the routine and any boss is simple.
I don't remember the name, it's been awhile but the 2nd to last boss in The Void in FFV, (right after Shinryu but before Ex Death) that boss is my most hated boss.
Red Dragons are the main problem I have in FFVIII. (without Odin/Gilgamesh)

Oh that boss, i didn't have much problem with him. The other bosses I had problems with are:
Omega (FFV)
and I used to have problems getting past Ultros (first encounter) when I was little.

I've always hated Magimaster (FFVI). He's just annoying as hell. He changes what he's weak against as soon as you try to find it, you can't attack him, and he casts Ultima before he dies. What a bastard.
The only three ways to defeat him are to: Get the four characters in your party to massive HP levels before going up the Fanatics' Tower, so Ultima doesn't kill you; Get Phoenix and have at least one character learn Life3 before getting to him, so they come back after he kills everybody, or; Berserk him, summon Phantom or Fenrir (for Vanish or Blink) so he can't hit you, then Rasp and Osmose every MP he's got -- and hope that he doesn't cast Ultima once he gets under 150 or so. Sure, once he's out of MP, he'll croak off, but it still takes a long while.

The Magus Sisters were pretty crazy in FFX, also few of the other dark aeons and Penance was no pushover.
I think the bosses in FFX are one of the worst ones.
Some of the Eidolon battles in FF XIII were a pain... Mainly because you're on a freaking time limit, and once you figured out the way to fill up the gestalt gauge thing, too much time has already passed, and it's nearly game over... Vanille's Eidolon was the hardest for me...
Also, I will have to agree that some of FF X's bosses were a pain. Particularly Seymour's second fight, and Lady Yunalesca. Seymour's second fight was a pain for me, because I was stuck with Kimahri at first, and I had not used him much up to that point, and Seymour kept knocking him out before I could switch! Yunalesca was just a freaking beast... I was glad to finally get passed her.
Still haven't beat Zodiark in XII, and then I still have to do that one hunt that is supposed to be the elite mark in the game: Yiazmat... I hear that take HOURS to complete... -_-
So... Those are what I would call the worst...
Click at your own risk.:
Yiazmat does take awhile. If I remember correctly, it has 12 million HP. However, you can leave at any time, save your game, and come back.Originally Posted by Dodie
Now that's pretty handy.
But as for my most hated, it's definitely the Dark Aeons in FFX (well, the non-American FFX). You guys miss out; they (and especially Penance) are incredibly tough. Like nothing else.

I don't think I have a "worst battle". If I've not been able to defeat a boss, then I go back to grinding. If anything, I've never been able to beat Ruby or Emerald Weapon.
My most embarrassing battle would have to be Chaos in Final Fantasy. I couldn't beat him at level 60. I was waaay over level 80 when I finally got him... I swear there's a video somewhere with just white mages defeating him? =(
Barthandelus (First fight) FFXIII, nothing more needs to be said :/

Yu Yevon...man I had problems with this guy...=/

I was pretty disappointed with final boss being Yu Yevon, but the boss i've ever had problems with were Kefka in FFVI, Sephiroth in FFVII and Ultimecia in FFVIII, although that was only hard for me the first time, i remember Ultimecia being the hardest.
Nowadays i destroy all of them pretty quick without any problems, being too easy if something..
Chaos in dissidia was tough, plenty of bosses from XI were tough(AV anyone?) Crisis Core on hard mode was tough. from the main series and not XI i first had trouble with Ultima Weapon and Omega before i had strategy down, 2nd Seymour. The standard hard bosses
The Magimaster, all though simple, just annoys the pure crap out of me.
Also the forced battles in FFI, albiet not a boss, but some were pretty annoying like the Wizards, and earth cave's vampire
That fight did my head in. There was a lot of whining posts from me trying to beat that asshat.
Hmm... others....
It wasn't tough per se, but I have a heck of a time with the real time stuff in FF games. Like in VII where you have to catch that damn rope while trying to get out of Midgar? Yeah. Or in IX, where you and Blank have to pretend to sword fight during the opening play.
Argh.
I had a heck of a time with Ozma in IX as well. Blaaaaaaaaaaaah.
Oh definetely Bahamut in FF13, record of me dying 27 times.
I was swearing my @$$ off.
The first barthandelous was an..."asshat" xD Untill I found that attacking during destrudo weakens the attack.
The elder Wyrm in FF12 was evil as well.
Well, maybe Hecatonchier in FF13, second highest death. 24 times.
