What is the flagship mascot for Final Fantasy?

I hate all of Amanos work, but I can get into that elsewhere. So short answer Yes I'm so happy chocobos turned out the way they did.

As for the mascot I would say... Chocobos. Mogs are a more `original`concept I think but they have a low presence in many of the newer games (outside Ivalice) especially compared to Chocobos.

I long ago got in the bad habit of pronouncing them kinda like Chalk-a-boos but since recent voice acted games I`ve come to accept the more proper yet odd sounding way it`s supposed to be pronounced.

Anyway, I don't consider Chocobos to be the flagship mascot....that honor goes to Airships in my opinion.

I would say it's between Moogle and Chocobo. It's kind of hard to say, for some reason I'm leaning towards Moogle. Moogles have always held some sort of helping or informative position while Chocobo's are in all FF's and you know they're going to be there. I think the Chocobo has become more popular though.

I <3 Cactuars, but I don't think they're as known to FF on the same level as the other two.

I would have to say that Moogles are probably best representative overall even though it was a close call between them and Chocobos. But considering Chocobos have been in the series since II and Moogles III maybe since they have made more appearances Chocobos would be considered the de facto mascot.

I cannot remember when you have used a Chocobo as a character but in VI you get to use Mog so maybe they are a bit more relevant to the series. It is a seriously hard one to call.

There's been a few spinoff games that feature a chocobo as a playable character, and most usually is the main character, so I suppose I'd have to agree that chocobos would be considered the "flagship mascot". I do prefer moogles though.

Also, I'm glad that chocobos look the way they do, compared to the concept art.

When I watched Nausciaa of the Valley of the Wind a while back, there were creatures called Horseclaws that looked eerily familiar to chocobos. I've read sources that say that the creatures from that movie may have been an inspiration in the chocobo design, and horseclaws were inspired by something called the Gastornis! So in a way, there really used to be chocobos running around the world!

I'd say Mog, Chocobos are simple creatures, meanwhile Mogs are usually full of personality and pretty helpful.

I'd have to run with Chocobo as the flagship mascot, they play an integral part of the games, and most games have a side-quest involving chocobos such as levelling them up, breeding them, racing them or as in XIII: using them to dig.

Moogles are cute, and are really addictive, i love the moogle game in VII in the Gold Saucer, but the baby Chocobo in XIII is just to die for

and yes i am extremely chuffed that Chocobos look the way they do rather than what they look like on that drawing

I'd say Chocobos are the closest thing to a 'flagship mascot' - purely because they are the most well known creature from the franchise.

I'd have to say Chocobo, because they've appeared in more FFs than Mog or Cactaur as far as I know, and more people know of the Chocobos than the others. They're a staple in transportation in the series.

I'd have to say with Chocobo, let's face it you think Chocobo you think Final Fantasy, you hear of a moogle...some people might think it's some strange dog type (you know the stupid ppl who have never played FF lol). So Chocobo ftw!
