The Top 100 Final Fantasy characters OF ALL TIME!

Hi there. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy later this year, I've decided I want to try and find out who the most popular FF characters ever are. So, what I need is two things from you:

1. Obviously, who your favourite characters are. They can be from anything within the FF franchise (yes, even Mystic Quest. It's none of my business if you want to be tarred and feathered). You can nominate as many characters as you want (doesn't matter if it's 1 or 1,000).

2. I want as many fans to get involved in this as possible, so I would like to ask where else I should ask for votes (other than this site. No offense).

One last thing, please don't criticise other people's votes. I don't want fanboys arguing all through the thread.

I'd like to start by suggesting that a Top 100 list may be a bit large. Narrow that field down to 50 and it may seem more reasonable. Now, this is your project, so I don't want to step on any toes... but as big of a series as Final Fantasy is, I am having a hard time thinking of 100 characters all worthy of being on a list like that. 100 encompasses ALL characters of any significant meaning, including most major bosses and whatnot.

Given that you're up to taking nominations, narrowing the final field to 50 seems more appropriate.

No 1. Final Fantasy Character?? TOO EASY. The ONLY Final Fantasy character out of ALL 13 (wait arent their more?? hahahahaa) Final Fantasys EVER created (haha not even including the sequels) to be chiseled >XD into a huge, glorified life-size statue at SE Showcase in Tokyo while all the other FF characters are tiny figurines shoved into a dark corner jks jks XDD. Not my fault the creators of FFVII *cough*BEST FF/GAME EVER* agree with mee..Buahaha N he doesnt even have that much screen time in FFVII rather He's pulling the strings whilst all the characters are runnin round shittin themselves but when He does make an appearance GODDAMN does He make the most of it makin a shishkebob outta that homewrecker. Good riddance I say. AND well..it hasnt got much to do with why hes the top FF character..(OORR does it???....)the guy's even got his own cologne (eh so does Cloud)

No 2: Cloud, Vincent, Tifa, Cid, Zack, Nanaki (I prefer Red XIII), Yuffie and Shelke. Basically All key FFVII characters except Tseng n Lucrecia..XD

No 3: Balthier, Kuja, Tidus, Lightning, Kain, Terra, Vivi, Yuna, Fran, Elfe (Felicia) Laguna, Lulu..Cant pick one right now but my No 3. wud def be one of these. U can choose 4 meXD Go nuts

But Cloud is the best... followed by that main charecter from FF8... whoes name I forget... because its 5.00am... who made me start saying "whatever" in every sentence for a year as a child... for what reason I dont know.

2. Barret Wallace -( I mean cmon nothing better than being your own security in your home, the club, and at work...... right?)
3. Fran/Ashe- Can't decide whos hotter, I'll lean more to Fran if she get pedicures & manicures on a regular.
4. Auron- Bad ass nuff said...
5. Ignus- Best looking FF character classed as a ninja. Looks totally kick ass
