Yep it's basically the concept of Dissidia, re-imagined as a rhythm RPG.

Sadly no, it's not made by Jupiter and doesn't seem to be anything like World Ends With You. If anything, it's more Elite Beat Agents

Whilst I love Elite Beat Agents, this doesn't really seem like it'll be worth £30-£40 nor worth investing in a 3DS for.
It looks cute, and of course the music of FF has always been great but I'm a little confused by how you would get some of the music into a rhythm game. Sure 'Battle on the Big Bridge' is absolutely perfect for something like this with it's fast pacing etc., but 'Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec' from FFVIII doesn't really have a great rhythm for a rhythm game.
Though when I was trying to remember the name of the song, I check the FFWiki, and it's a little depressing there are now nearly as many spinoffs of Final Fantasy than there are numbered titles.

What a waste
It's a shame how many of you are completely ready to dismiss something which might contain far more entertainment than it leads you to believe. I, on the other hand, have every intention of getting this game if it comes Stateside. (Sadly, no importing on this one since the 3DS is region-locked.)

Seriously, wow. I'll wait until it comes out before I pass final judgement, but just from hearing the concept, this sounds really, really, unbelievably lame. Square. I am disappoint.
Just out of sheer curiosity, I'm going to have to keep watching for info on this game now XD
