Official TFF Poll #2: Favorite Summon

Been awhile but the official poll is back for another round! As you can see, this time around I'm looking for TFF's favorite summon. Because there are so many to choose from I'm not making a thread poll, so you'll have to vote with your posts. If you prefer to vote anonymously just drop me a PM.

Any summon from any FF game. If you're referring to a summon from a specific game, please make a note of it. And like last time, you don't have to comment if you don't want to but if you do comment, there's a chance it could end up in the finished article.

Also like last time, this thread is not the place for side comments, please stay on topic. It makes it a lot easier for me if I don't have to sort through a bunch of off-topic posts while I'm tallying votes.

My favorite summon is Bahamut Zero from Final Fantasy VII. It has all the sweetness of regular Bahamut but hits hard as shit.

Definitely Shiva and Bahamut. As for my favorite version of the two, Shiva's appearance in VIII was simply brilliant, love when she suddenly opens her eyes and breaks the ice, still gives me goosebumps. I love traditional dragons, but Bahamuts appearance in X was by far the best one in my opinion.

This one immediately comes to mind. Chocomog from FF7. I don't remember what it does, but it combines a chocobo with a moogle with a bandana. That's kawaii. Also, this picture leads me to believe that they in fact speak french. Sully frenches!

Totally useful little guy, has saved skins on more than a few occasions. Immediately identifies his companion as a summoner. Recognizable in all iterations.

A close runner up for me would be Cerberus, but that's more for his Junctions and less for his role as a summon/ GF/ whatever

Seriously: Anima from X. Ties into the story subtly (Seymour's mother or something -- she is even summoned by Seymour at Luca), only needs the use of one eye to vaporise enemies, kicks home hard with its overdrive... although that underground version of it is a little weird.



Just imagine what it took to strap those chains around her... and what it'd be like if they were loosed.

Knights of the Round because the animation was so long I could get up and grab food and drink and come back before it's over. (or wash your car or whatever)

Heh. Knights of the Round is #%#!%*# epic(imagine that (long) sequence updated in CGI like summons in CC) and my pick for favourite summon in the entire FF series even if I dont use it against Ruby & Emerald, battles become less challenging esp for my tastes. Suffice to say it would most definitely be the Ultimate End for any n every opponent you encounter.

I found myself using the Brothers a lot in FFVIII so my vote would go to them

I've always liked Anima from X. It kinda freaked me out the first time I saw it and then again when It uses its Overdrive in the first Seymour battle but I learnt to get used to it . I think it's the only Aeon to have some sort of a back story, other than just getting a glimpse of the fayth that it belongs too which is pretty cool too.

Plus in the PAL version she can deal up to 1,599,984 damage (99,999 x 16) and If you Grand Summon her with a full limit break that's like... 3,199,968 (I had to use the calculator for both of those sums) damage over two turns. Ass-kickingly epic.

In response to topic my personal favorite summon is Ramuh. I love lightning as an element. I think its so cool because its unrelenting power and energy. And if you concentrate it long enough your target can erupt into flames

Bahamut's probably one of my favourites, although I can't say for sure. His Megaflare attack is a fantastic way to deal high amounts of damage, especially in games like III and IV where it's pretty indispensable against the final boss. He owns in pretty much every game he's as well.

I might change my mind when a few other people have posted/given me a few more ideas. But for now I'll say Bahamut.

I like Ragnarok because he turns into a giant sword and comes down to the ground and he can transform enemies into items. I know hes in VI and I'm not sure what other FFs you can summon him in. Anyways, hes my top favorite.

Bahamut. Bahamut from IX and Bahamut ZERO, NEO Bahamut and Bahamut from 13 (omg did I just admit to liking something from 13?).

Also: Odin & Gilgamesh. Odin from VIII is baaaaadddd ass

Hmmm, they are all incredible!. I guess I would join in the crowd and say Bahamut from VIII or X. The design they chose for X's version was incredible. His entrance was always my favorite part of summoning him. However, I think that VIII's Mega Flare was much cooler.

I'll go ahead and throw in Eden, Ifrit, and Brothers from VIII in as honerable mentions.

I'll keep my vote from that because it's true. Ark and well Doomtrain have been my favorite summons. Ark tho is by far my most favorite. Name any other summon where you summon an AIRSHIP!

Favorite summon? The summons from VIII blew me away X as well. But if I had to choose one defiantly would have to be Odin from VIII.

I mean come on, you here that sound when the party disappears and every time I'm just like oh god, it's about to go down. Until Seifer takes him down which is horse manure.

By far the most helpful to me especially grinding on ICTH and just all around my favorite.

Well, one of my favourite summons from the series is Ifrit. He's THAT badass if you know what i mean.

It's really hard to pick which is my favorite, so I'll list my three current favorites.

Alexander: I like his name
Ifrit: coolest demon thing I've ever seen
Anima: Most powerful summon I think I've ever used. Once you get the break damage limit and level up, she's much more powerful than KoTR.
