You're comparing him to cute chibi version of himself on a box artwork instead to how he really looks like according to Amano
So you see, he was girly to begin with.
Okay, I've just been playing Final Fantasy Dissidia (well, actually, it's Duodecim, but that just sounds silly) Anyhow, my question is, how did they turn this lovable character, the lines of which I read as though he'd picked his nose previous to saying them: (Hint, he's not the chocobo.)
Into...this strange girly-ish amalgamation that is followed by general wincing and uncomfortable silences:
Has anyone else wondered about this?

Best character in that game.
Also, that Chibi version of him is in his Mime Job.
in Dissidia, he is a mime but that is his Freelancer outfit.

I thoroughly enjoy any and all renditions of him. Square did an excellent job moving him from 2d to 3d in my opinion. Also, if you think his Amano outfit is girly, you should check his Dancer look, or the Alternate Amano. I like both, but I admit that they are a bit...flamboyant.

Bartz is a little weird to begin with. He really does embrace the element of air, light clothing, free-spirited, and whimsical. I like the design that he had for Dissidia because FFV was plain when it came to their freelance and mime classes. I personally thought the Sorcerer class had the best look.
