Here is something that has been in my mind recently. Would it be cool if SE releases a game that among other things has a collection of memorable minigames from the FF series?
Here are some of the minigames and possible changes made to them. Take note that the actual game might have more games that what is listed here.
FFVII Chocobo race: This plays more or less the same as it did in the FFVII with updated graphics to boot. You start with 500 GP and if you run out of GP, it's game over.
FFVIII Triple Triad: Triple Triad is back and is more devious than ever. You start with a very basic deck and as you win more matches, the opponents will get harder and will hold rare cards for you to collect. This game includes all of the familiar graphics, music and the feel from FFVIII.
FFX Blitzball: This game is mixture of FFX and FFX-2 Blitzballs. You level up and control the characters like in the FFX and you spend points to scout more players like in FFX-2. All of this is accompanied by beautiful updated visuals.
FFX Cloister of Trials: Not exactly a minigame per se but I still felt like it could be included. This puts everything you know about the Trials into a whole new level. Changes includes the treasures being replaced by Confirmation Sigils and the exits are glyphs known as Exit Platforms. The first six Cloisters are the Trials are the ones you went through in the original FFX but after that you will find completely new Cloisters each more difficult than the last. New puzzles include precision based puzzles and some Cloisters also features you playing co-op with Yuna. Simply step on a glyph known as Switch Platform and you will take control of Yuna and vise versa. You will have to find her first though. Yuna can jump into otherwise unreachable places while Tidus is the only one who can hold spheres. After all of the Trials are completed and the Confirmation Sigils are found, the Final Cloister will be unlocked and it's basically a huge tower floating in the sky that is extremely hard.
Besides the minigames, this game also features a music player playing memorable tunes from the games as well as a trivia section where you find information about the games that you might have not known before.
Tell me what do you think. Should this kind of game ever see the light of day?
