I didn't like tactics.. not sure which one because it was a while ago but I know it was on PSX.. I wasn't a fan of the strategy approach.
Everyone has their own opinion of the final fantasy they disliked most. I am curious to see which others are disliked and why??
The FF I did not enjoy as much as the others was FFXII simply because I did not find it as interesting as all the rest. the beginning kept me hooked but after a while it became boring to me..overall the game was not horrible just for me, not as fun..
Also FFX-2 which I have discussed before because of the storline let down. But the game itself besides that was fun.
FFVI makes my list only because im still stuck..... * hehe
which others will you beef about??

Haha, none. ^^
I don't know how you can possibly dislike one of the games. I understand that there are a few things that bother you about a game, but can you actually hate one of them?
I think that FFVII and FFVIII aren't that great, but still I played them through to the end and I don't regret playing it (oh, okay, perhaps I should mention that I'm still at playing FFVIII, but I'll beat it in a few days, I suppose ^^). There were a few things I didn't like about them. VII had too much story, yet was such a short game. There could've been more. And more to explore. I found it hard to find some places to go before beating Sephiroth. There were not anough side quests. At least I didn't find any. ^^"
VIII... has Rinoa. I just hate that brat, and I also dislike many characters. Yet, there are some I like. The story is a bit boring, compared to other FFs. But still, I like it. It may be the worst FF I played, but it's still not THAT bad.
I really wouldn't want to say that I HATE an FF .-."
9x-7i > 3(3x-7u)
I agree with Freya on this one, there is always something that you'll dislike in FF game but that's not the reason to hate it, neither one is perfect. There are many things that I dislike in FF V and for me it's the worst FF game but it's still much better than many games I've played. There are few things I didn't like in FF V. I found the story to be pretty weak, not interesting at all. The same thing goes for characters but there are few that I liked. I never got used to the job system what made this game a little bit more difficult for me.

Mmm.. FFXII?
It's not that I don't Like that game, but it Lacks many things than the previous FF who first came out.. And aLso I'm not a fan of Vaan, so.. it's onLy a minor thing.. anyway.. I aLso don't Like FF Tactics.. I just can't understand that game, LoL!

Its a madhouse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A MADHOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AAAAAA MADDDHOUSSSSEEEEE!!!!!!!!
well FF5 never really apealed to me... the plot wasn't very gripping and my brother refuses to even talk about... why he hates it so much... I can't ask him... But it just wasn't a gripping game like the games that came out before it...
Only one I didn't like was FFX-2 but I didn't really play it. All other FFs I enjoyed, FFXII is one of my favorite, the last 3 sections of that game were amazing.
I hate FFX because Tidus is a whiny jock that got a sword and blah, blah, blah, lame. FFII wasn't so hot because of the leveling system by it was an early FF so I can let it get by.
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes...or should I?
III because its on the ds only. they should have released it for psp too.
Final Fantasy IX of the main series was the most dissapointing to me, and I always point to one example. Go to Cid's Throne room and look at the previous Cid statues. Now for a game that claims to heavily reference its own past, you would think the statues might reference previous Cid's within the series. They even bother to say if you click on them, whether it is Cid the VI or Cid the VIII. But one of them has a harp? I don't recall a Cid with a harp, and none of them bare any particular resemblance to any of the other Cid's, so I just wonder why they bothered to put up statues and address them with numbers if they wouldn't just take the extra step and connect them to previous games. And that's the way I felt about the whole game. It just always seemed that they hadn't bothered to take one more step to take the game from good to amazing.
FF9 hands down. It was a loss of epic proportions. Everything was wrong with it... especially Garnet! She looked like a 6 year old with boobs. **shiver**
Like people have previously said, I cannot say I hate any FF game, there are just little things that make them slightly less enjoyable than others. Personally, the one I couldn't get on with the most is II. The reason is that when you go back to the early ones after playing the PS and beyond FFs, you kinda under-appreciate the early ones. After getting used to them, FFII is the one that is probably the most different, and so I can't ever get on with it.
hate? no, dislike to the point i won't touch that game again? yes.
VIII: plot holes and excuses out the wazoo for that game, i stopped playing it cause im questioning it too much and finding it way to annoying to keep going. the main characters were boring and lacked that thing which makes a good hero...... oh yeah common sense.
X: The story and the world design was good but i won't play that game again is mainly due to the part of bad voice acting. the sphere system would be great for all of you but that whole sorting through my entire command list for a specific list of abilities then trying to cast my spells got annoying.
X-2: mini games galore, it was horrid. it was like twilight where it was a game to get tween girls playing it.
XII: man, sand nothing but sand for the first part of the game. this game had more sand then ..... a sandbox. gambit system made it also a really boring game to play. hey look just move forward and the game takes care of it self.
VII spawns: this screams fan boy gimme games. tried once and never touching again.
II: the level up system was interesting, just broken when i can attack my own party members to raise the stats i want. story was good, i don't know this game was not my most favorite only cause when i first played it, it was translated to english for a NES rom on my computer. mind you it could be the first documented scene of the moogle. yay beavers.
Dissidia.
Also XI as an online game ,should've been made seperatly.
As for real games in the series XII and II were the worst, but still fun.

I don't think I've hated any Final Fantasy game.
The ones I like the least though are most of the spinoffs and FFXII which had such a different style of gameplay it might as well have been a spinoff as far as I'm concerned.

Well.. I do love Final Fantasy, but still, there's one series that I kinda hate..
FFX-2. I feel bad seeing my Lady Yuna became a Tomb Raider like that..
I really wasn't into FFV at all, that game tormented me from start to finish, I hated the job system and I always seemed to be dying and/or stuck somewhere. It drove me insane.
Can't say I'm one for Tactics either, I have an incomlete file on FFTA and Ive never got more than the first battle in on WoTL. Biggest waste of money ever
Oh, FFII.... Ive tried to play this afew times, I get about half an hour in, decide I hate it and give up
I don't hate any FF game, but there a couple that I dislike. For starter's X-2. It wasn't that good at all. I did not enjoy the story at all, and the dress sphere thing was dumb. XII, the story was okay, but I greatly disliked the battle system. I applaud Square-Enix for trying something new, but epic fail.
dont really hate any of the, but as much as i tried to like it, VIII bored me to death. i played for about 15 hours hoping it would get better but....no.

I would've agreed with the "can't hate ay of them" thing I'm seeing a ton of... but then 12 came out. This game seriously made me want to cry. Not the good kind of crying over a video game, the kind that comes shortly after the realization of a wasted paycheck.
The combat system was a nightmare. I mean really, I'm running around in real time, so is everything else, but I'm standing here waiting for my 'turn' to cave something's head in with the large blunt object I'm carrying. If i'm going to act like I'm playing a real time game, i want to be owning things in real time as well. As a new idea for a game, yeah, not bad. As a system for a Final Fantasy, no. Just no.
The story wasn't bad by normal game standards, but I hold Final Fantasy to MUCH higher standards than any other game I buy. 12 was much below par in that department. The characters were somewhat bland, and all were quite forgettable. Vaan never really felt like a main character to me; just a kid who happened to be there for no apparent reason. And one of the things I look forward to most in a new FF game in the main series, is exploring a whole new world. 12 even took that away from me, I already kknew Ivalice. Yeah, they expanded on it, but it jsut wasn't anything NEW.
Every other FF game I've bought, was never turned off until beaten at least once. 12 however, usually saw an hour of use every couple weeks until I was finally able to force myself to finish it. It seriously felt more like work than a game.
Ranting aside, I have high hopes for 13, in spite of 11 and 12 dissappointing me greatly. Don't fail me again Squeenix!
FF X-2..I was really disappointed with this sequel for Final Fantasy X. It was let down after Final Fantasy X did such a great job.

Every little thing about that guy just ticks me right off.

Yeah, none. It's sad reading everyone bash on 12, I've never played X-2. And tactics was AMAZING.
This is a shocker, and why doesn't anyone hate 13? Ahaha.
I was waiting for a "It's so linear, they took exploring out" gran pulse is pretty nice, but there is absolutely no world map or air ship, it's weird. I don't remember 12 too much, but I know it's pretty big.
ok ill say it. i don't like 13, the battle system was interesting and new, but thats all i can say on that. the story was boring, cheesy and predictable in my taste. i go back to battle cause i have to give it props for the intense battle system. map areas are much the same with 12 as they are very open and have great detail, you can jump around for the first time, which only took them so long to do it for a final fantasy game. it has some free roaming qualties that i like but this type of map does not really allow the airship use as im sure we are all used too from 1-9. but hey you would rather have high graphics and detail over freedom.
