Zidane was my favorite, just enjoyed the character overall. Might be because FF IX was my first one but I think it's like that with most people, the first one you play is usually your favorite one. But my vote goes to Zidane.

I'll not - NOT! - make a statement as to why I love Auron (FFX) again. I've done that for... six times already? XD" I'm pretty sure I've written all that down somewhere on TFF as well.

But I don't think you can have only ONE character who's the best of the best. I had favorites in EVERY FF, so there are 12 best characters for me. xP (12 because I haven't played XI ^^")

I can say at least... that I like the "old" guys in FF best. ^^" Like Auron, Basch, Edgar, Sazh... just to name a few which came to my mind first. xD"
(But I like Freya best in FFIX, of course. xD" So this isn't a rule... just something that came to my mind when I realized that I like the 25+ guys most XD)

I can't believe sephiroth made the list. oh yeah will throw in character who is supposed to be a super soldier and he goes all whiny cause he learned oh man i had cells injected into my mother when i was conceived.
i say disregard those votes for him and get to the ACTUAL heroes.

Personally I feel that Zack Fair is the best character of all time. He is, in every sense of the description that Angeal gave him, a puppy. Which, to me, makes him a lovable and memorable character.
