Final Fantasy 15 (News/Thoughts?)

Does anybody know of any news, or have any thoughts or ideas, or has heard any speculation on what FF 15 is or could be like?

It doesn't give much, but hints at a quicker turn around time than was given for XIII, as well as a unique story that hasn't been explored before?

I would say that's more speculation than news at this point. I mean they said they had no plans after 13, yet they're making 13-2. >.>

It's really too soon to speak of news or anything of FFXV at this point. They're too busy trying to finish FFXIV and XIII-2. Heh.

i think it would be refreshing to see a FF go back to something with castles, non-magical swords and black mages in a blue robe and pointy hat. c'mon SE, lets get away from the sci-fi bit to something more of a "classic FF" feel i know, i know...it wont happen

or be set in ivalice, that would be cool too

There was a rumor of Final Fantasy XV may come to Nintendo's new console, Project Cafe. These rumors were proven false according to E3 2011 reviewers. SquareEnix is considering XV for the Wii U apparently. The home console for the first Final Fantasies was Nintendo, as well as my first. This would be a big jump for those of the younger game gen, but the older gamers will see it as jumping back. If it goes through, I'll see it as Final Fantasy coming home. I've really enjoyed what PS consoles have held in the series; however, I would like to see what new bright ideas Nintendo could bring. I haven't even started thinking about 3DS until now. Yoshinori Kitase (FFXIII producer) was quoted saying this at the E3 this year.

Three or four years ago we joked around about developing a Final Fantasy game on the Wii Fit balance board.

But after seeing Wii U revealed at Nintendo's conference, we are now considering the possibilities of bringing the Final Fantasy series to the format.

As far as I know there isn't any news about Final Fantasy XV. I bet we're a couple of years out...I'd be surprised if they've even started real development on it at this point.

They NEED to bring back the whole turned base, they went through loads of games with a turned base and i prefer it if you ask me you can make it real time by selecting Active other than wait but it could just be me.

Oh and also the story line would have to be amazing because the story line XIII was brilliant in my opinion they are going to have pull all the stocks this time.

Agreed ... in the latest games, there hasn't been a single hint of moogles, explorable castles, decent summons etc. It's been all about action, fancy graphics and pleasing the mainstream ... Final Fantasy isn't really mainstream, it's got a particular RPG fanbase, a huge one at that, because of it's traditional magical values.

Hopefully, XV will be a step closer to that than the past few titles, however i'm not keeping my fingers crossed, even though I will probably still like the game lol.

I think they should go for a JSA type of story in terms of characters and not the exact same character arch types they go for in almost every single story coming out of that country.

Im all for cheese, but when you keep throwing cheese at me to a maximum degree, im going to get angry and upset and not buy your games anymore which I have not done since final fantasy 7. actually not true. I did buy Final Fantasy The Four Warriors of Light. that was a good game. classic.
