is FFIII worth making a sequel?

I think that there should be a sequel made for this game, and I know for definate that I am not the only person who feels this way!
I think that it should come out for PS3/Xbox 360
in the game there are no voice actors, and I think that this is a shame, this game is very popular, it had a DS remake and it came out on the Iphone/ Ipad, so it's a success, I believe that making a sequel to this game would be rewarding, after all, they are the original child warriors, so does anyone else out there agree with me??

I'm not too sure on this one. Other than repeat the story with the Warriors of the Dark fighting to defeat the overwhelming Light, which I think is what the original warriors did (it's been a while), I don't think there's much room for a sequel. There will probably be a few more remakes down the line if there's a demand for it.

But if there was to be one i'm pretty sure it would be put on the DS or 3DS or something.

Sorry this post is quite vague, if I get the chance to i'll expand on it.

*PREPARED TO BE SPOILED AT YOUR OWN RISK* I feel what your saying Zisa, but aliera could be on to something. The smartphone/Droid version of it had additional content added on aftermath of beating it on top of the Iron Giant boss (If you played this version please don't spoil everything the game has to offer for the ones that hasn't even touched it yet). As far as gaming content and experience, at my standpoint, Square Enix. left most of it's brother genre companies in the dust for a LONG time so what makes you think the Square now can't add on or revise a high quality ol' school RPG and make it worlds better than the original? I personally agree with Aliera not because Ff3 is my 2nd favorite FF, but I know it has enough content deemable enough to be remade.

Despite how good III is, I don't think it should get a sequel. Anyways, the time for a sequel has long passed as 22 years have passed since the original came out in Japan.

If the current versions of III become popular enough they would probably get a sequal regardless of how long ago the original was made.

A possible plot could be about the Warriors parents not being dead or something similar. I think the main problem is that they didn't make III with the intention of a sequal, ie no cliff hangers or anything that could lead to another game. Not that it's stopped other games being made before, I just feel that if they did decide to continue with the story, it would feel a bit hollow. I guess a bit like X-2 did.

True Zisa true. But at the same time, you have to think about other franchise rpg's that started dull/hollow but when later remade, ended up being one of the best games in the world(yes I'm talking about elder scrolls). Here's a couple ideas that I want to see Square Enix use.

    1. Make it to where the continent outside of the floating one hasn't been fully explored yet. Add in some more cities and dungeons (all of these are going what you said as far as their journey into finding their parents or getting even for whoever caused their split/death). I'd like a couple new jobs or they improvise the current ones/expand what all they can equip/think of some new bad ass weapons. A flaw I seen in the DS version is that they do give you side quests to do but, I felt that didn't give you enough to do/the jobs were to little. Add on ALOT more side quests and make a couple accessable only to those that completed certain ones. Keep the same difficulty as the previous ones if possible, make it a slight more difficult for us ff3 veterans. Lastly, I think they should make the Cloud of Darkness how Zande was seen as the main villan but was created from the 7 deadly sins and we'd have to fight each ff's representation of those said sins (no old bosses meaning they sketch up some new bosses that show how our sins exteriorly portray,I think this would be a bad ass ending). Also keep a majority of original music themes (submarine Nautilus, the world map theme, the hometown of ur) mostly my favorites I'd want to hear.

If Square Enix does this in the remake, I'll be sleeping next to gamestop the day before it's released and I will be calling off work.

I agree with you on the music, they should stick to the original as much as possbile. I want there to be more dungeons like Eureka. I loved fighting my way through bosses to get the most powerful weapons, armour, and spells in the game, it made equiping them so much more worthwhile . All Final Fantasy games should have this. No excuses.

Speaking of the most powerful weapons and armour, they should make the ones beloning to each job more accessable than Wi-fi. It's fine if you have access to it, or know how to use it (i'm neither of those things). It would make leveling up jobs a lot more desirable. Same goes for the Onion Knight job too.

I like how the Job system is laid out, but faster jobs tend to level up at a higher rate, due to being able to take more turns in battle. Extra jobs should be awarded for completing certain side quests like you mentioned. The original 16 available to regular gameplay cover all the bases, but there's been so many more additions with later games that a few extra ones couldnt hurt. A Blue Mage or an Assasin might be fun.
