FF music game?

OK, so I was reading Kotaku this morning and come across this little article:

Final Fantasy. The Music Game.

From reading the article and looking at the magazine shot, the game looks like it's set out as a traditional FF, but instead of inputting commands, you tap along to the music. Also, you can see from the shot, Lightning, Cloud, Warrior of Light and Onion Knight are in this game. Assuming this, I suppose it's going to be like Dissidia in that aspect.

So is anyone else interested in this? I for one find it very interesting and might be a nice new idea. Although, with it being on 3DS, I'm not so sure I'm going to pick up a brand new console just for this.

Anyway, thoughts?

This looks great, the whole FF series has always had underlying musical themes in theeir gameplay and story lines. This looks promising

It does sound like a lot of fun, definitely a refresher for the series. Still, if it does go to the 3DS, I'll probably miss out on it.
