heheh the puzzle game in the first, on the GBA I don't remember how but I just found it so cool when I was 6 but why is a puzzle hidden on a ship??
What are your favorite Mini games and or side quest out of all Final Fantasy?
Not sure if there's a topic for all FF mini games. Please be describe a little.
FFVII: The Gold Saucer itself. I liked playing:
-Crazy Motorcycle/G Bike
-Chocobo Racing
-Snowboarding Game
-Submarine Game
-Mog's House
-Super Dunk
-I don't play Speed too often, but its fun too^^
-Rufus's Ceremony at Junon
- I liked helping out at Fort Condor during Shinra invasions, that was really fun, I wish they had made that available at the Gold Saucer too.
FFVIII:
I don't remember too many of the Mini Games, I didn't really get into the card game too much, but catching Chocobo's in Chocobo forest were kind of fun.
FFIX:
so many, pretty much all of them.
-Play Sword fight with Blank
-Benero and Zenero Game in the Alexandria Weapons/Armor Shop
-Festival Of the Hunt
-Racing Hippaul
-Finding Chocographs (Hot and Cold)
-Riding the Gargant to reach the Outer Continent
-The Mini game where you have to slowly sneak by the caged Hedgehog at Kuja's Desert Palace. You play as frog Cid.
-Catching Frogs at Q's Marsh
-Finding the last Coffee for Morid at Dali, in The Mayor's house while his son sleeps.
-Mogent was cool, because I liked reading all the letters.
-The Stellazio Quset was creative.
-Jumping rope pissed me off because I always screwed up once I got to 202 -_- I think it's the part where she says "now it gets tricky" I wanted to strangle her with it.
FFX-
-Blitzball!!!!!
-Also, I actually had a lot of fun getting all the Ultimate weapons
*Calm Lands Chocobo Race
*hunting the cactuars for Rikku's
*Finding the Cactuar Ghost For Khimari's
*Even though the Butterfly catching was kind of a pain, I still had fun doing it.
*Dodging Bolts was a breeze for me when it came to Lulu's. I thought it would take forever.
*Blitzball for Wakka duh.
*The Arena, and catching monsters kind of sucked....
FFX-2:
The whole game is a Mini Game.
The only things I can remember that I liked were
-Gunner's Gauntlet was suuper fun.
-Saving the people from Cavern of the Stolen Fayth
-Catching the Chocobo for Cali
-Mating the Monkeys at the Zanarkand ruins
Looking for the kid cactuars for the Cactuar Mother's On Bikanel. The shooting duel was pretty fun.
FFXII:
-Hunting Marks

I guess I'll list mine out too:
Final Fantasy VII
I loved the Battle Arena. The random slot thing that happens made it more exciting because you didn't know if you were going to get.
The part of the game where you had to impress Rufus by inputing the right button commands.
I liked going on the Gondola ride with different characters. Idk if that's considered a mini-game, but I liked doing it.
The Snow Boarding game was really fun, and I liked the submarine missile game too.
Final Fantasy IX
I loved Chocobo Hot and Cold. I was so addicted to that damn game, and I was totally bummed when I found all the chocographs. I liked looking for the treasure with just a picture of the general place it was located.
::Edit:: I totally forgot about Ragtime Mouse. I liked it when that guy popped up and asked you questions about different stuff in the game.
Final Fantasy XII
Hunting Marks was so addictive. I probably spent more time doing that than in the storyline.
Some people don't like fetch quests, but I kind of do. There were a ton of times where random NPCs would ask the player to go get something or take something to someone else.
Fishing was kind of cool in this game. I wasn't that great at it, but I liked to do it.
I guess that's all I can think of at the moment.

"HELLO GUYS!"
I loved the submarine minigame in vii.Probably because it was the easiest but the sound effects get me going nostialgic when i hear them.
I also got addicted to blitzball at first in x(easily 200 hours combined over last 7 years) but the shambles that was blitzball in x-2 put me off.
the one i liked the most in 7 the snow board game never gets old
8 dosnt have much mini games i think squall is enough
10 oh yeah blitz ball
Chocobo Hot and Cold in FFIX - utterly addictive and the rewards are great.
I did really enjoy the sword fight between Zidane and Blank at the start of FFIX too.
"Excuse me Miss, do you like pineapple?"
"I don't want to achieve immortality through my work, I want to achieve it through not dying"
oh yeah that one is really cool, I just can't get enough of it.I did really enjoy the sword fight between Zidane and Blank at the start of FFIX too
As for FFVII,I liked the snowboarding one it was nice and FFVIII's card game was quite cool.

My favorite mini game was easily Triple Triad. (The Card game from FFVIII). My friend & I actually made cards based off the ones in the game, and constantly played for shits and giggles.
Proud to be in the United States Navy.

i think the Best of the Best is Hunt Marks from FFXII it was really fun finding the clues, search the monsters, then kick-its-ass! lol~ i also do the hunt for completing my ultimate weapons and accesories..
the other mini game i like is where we have to catch all monsters needed to get a crest. i like battle gaming! hehe.. lol~

B.A.U:
I like the card games from VIII (Triple Triad) and IX (Tetra Master). My friend and I once made versions of the IX ones, but it didn't work so well because the scoring system (letters and numbers) made no sense at all, so we had modified rules and brought in dice.
They need to bring those games back in for future FFs. Blitzball failed because it never really changed, and each game takes like an hour. A few minutes maximum, and with rare cards, and it'll hook me. Get something like that in XIII, and it could easily become my new favourite, those minigames made those PSX-era games great.
The chocobo racing , and motorcycle mini game from FF VII was the shit and in my opinion cannot be beat by any other FF's mini games...
Definitely Blitzball. Others hate it, but I loved it. I get a feel for it, after 3-4 matches. Then you assemble the right team and dominate at every tournament! Of course... then they screwed it all up in X-2...
I'm going through a bit of a The World Ends With You phase right now.Click THERE:
My favorite mini game is Triple Triad (FF VIII), I enjoyed playing it so much that I've even tried to collect every card in my first playthrough although it ended in a failure. Also except Chocobo Hot and Cold I don't remember any mini game to be so addictive.
Tetra Master was also good but not quite as Triple Triad, I just wasn't motivated to collect every card.
Sig and Avy made by Unknown Entity
Final Fantasy Chocobo Tales. All of those little pop-up duels and minigames that are scattered and inside the books. My favorite one was Blowout Blitz (I love the sound of a dart piercing through plastic balls).
It's too adorable.
.....And I also stole that cupcake.
TFF Family~:
my fav is definately triple triad from ff8. ff10's blitzball is a very close second, though. i didn't really like the card game in ff9, just because it was so different. the numbering system made absolutely no sense whatsoever.
FFIV DS's new minigames with Cecil, Kain and Edge were cool. I really like throwing shurikens with Edge and turning into a tree-trunk to avoid attacks.
Choco Hot 'n' Cold was very addicting and rewarding minigame. They should make more these kind of minigames in the future FF-games.
Lali-hoe, I mean, ho!
