    Dissidia sells poorly

Dissidia 012: Final Fantasy's Gets Drowned Out, Sells Poorly - Final Fantasy Union - Final Fantasy News, Music, Guides & More

I haven't tried the game yet but they say it's way better than the first one..
How are people liking the sequel?
Personally didn't really dig the first one, because of the horrible storyline and was really repeatative but had some interesting features.

Hope the second one is better, but it seems you have to buy it of PSN to have Aerith as well which is kinda weird to me.
Dont you also need to have mastered save from the first one as well to get all features?

No you don't need the first to get all the features, 012 is huge and encompasses the 12th and 13th. Aerith isn't even a playable character she's an assist character which isn't that big of a deal.

I'm loving the game, the story is alright but I'm just glad to play an FF game that doesn't have to be all menu based(or gambits) it is a nice change. It totally is just for the Fans though to play your faves.

    Re: Dissidia sells poorly

Im a big fan but i didn't really enjoy this game, simply cause Zidane and Squall were nothing like themselves,
were like ridiculous weird copies, more like retards.
KH did way better with Squall and that's saying alot.
If they look better in the second one that i would enjoy the game more.

So you're saying that having a save from the first game, won't have any effect on this one?
Cause i heard otherwise but i take your word for it

well you can import a save but it only transfers levels and abilities, something that isn't exclusive to only having the first game.

It's sad that it's not selling well as it's quite the PSP gem.
Concerning Aerith, if other countries are the same as Australia, you need to download the few dollar prologue to unlock her and other goodies but it isn't the PSN version of the game itself. It can be used in conjunction with either the UMD version OR the PSN version.

Oh so you get her too by simply buying the UMD in regular stores? Most be limited, PSN is probably more safe.
Might do that, i like all the characters in this one, possibly the didn't make them look stupid again (Squall and Zidane eech)

Nah, there's a literal game on PSN called Dissidia Prologus for a few dollars which comes with an Aeris unlock for the full game and can also be used to unlock items in the actual game. Prologus works with both the UMD version and the boxed retail version (which I bought the CE of for the goodies).

Shame though, it's a great game, it has a lot to offer, and not just to Final Fantasy fans. While story may not be the very best, great battle mechanics, deep customization, large roster, and huge amount of content make up for it. Not to mention gorgeous graphics on "tiny" system such as PsP, also, characters are pretty much faithful to their source, Square took special care in that area it seems.

The game was leaked, though. Pirates will jump on that ship (no pun intended).

Still, Squeenix's questionable marketing strategy for US probably resulted in less pirating.

I'm going through a bit of a The World Ends With You phase right now.
