Okay everyone, time for my weekly game review. This review is the first one I had ever written, but was the seventh that I had ever published. Now it will be passed on to you, the readers of TFF.
This review is made after having the game for ten years. The reason I am writing this review is because I played it under my new system. What I do is have my list of video games in alphabetical order and narrow it down using my TI-83+ calculator's randomization program. Crash Bandicoot ended up being the last game remaining after all of that.
Anyway, the game starts out with Dr. Neo Cortex and Nitrus Brio (N. Brio) doing experiments on all of the anmals. Crash escapes and then Cortex prepares the Cortex Vortex on the female bandicoot. Crash washes up on N. Sanity Beach where he starts his journey. Crash travels through 32 stages of different lengths and difficulty level trying to earn the gems that will help him destroy the plans of Cortex.
My favorite levels of the game were the two levels where Crash rides the warthog. These are always fun and challenging because you have to navigate to hit all of the boxes, and once you pass them, you can't go back.
I didn't like how you had to get all of the boxes in one life. This was difficult in some of the levels, even after ten years of playing it. I tink the makers of the game thought this also, because I know that in II and III you can die ans still keep the box count.
Overall, I give this game 8 out of 10. I did this because it is a game that can be played again and again and it is still fun. Also, for a game of its age, it can still compete with games of today and prove where it stands in the history of video games. It has great graphics and uses lots of color. Everything is just so vivid and bright.
I recommend tis game to everybody. From the veteran gamers, to those just starting out. This game has something for everyone.
Also, here's a little treat for you. It is the password for 100% Complete in the game.
