I really like your third and last pictures. Were those done solely with pen and ink or did you just darken it in with it? Either way they're fantastic. The works with the masks are sweet too, the second one in particular is pretty striking. I like the look of the stitches on the side of the mouth.

All Pen.
Considering the style pencil wouldnt have worked. I think countour(line) drawings are best done in pencil then traced with pen.
In the scibbly style of the posted pictures, any mistake is simply hidden in the scribbles.
Dude, that last one is epic, I'd give anything to draw like that.
I'm guessing your an art student?
______________
Hey 50 posts
I had the AP art classes in highschool, that's all. But that was essentially just class periods to work on items for a portfolio.
I didn't have the introducotry or advenced art classes.
I really don't think classes have much to do with technical skill directly. They seem to provide direction. I knew lots of people that took the art classes and didnt improve at all.
I think technical skill just comes from practice. Some people pick it up faster than than others, but I think everyone has the potential to make good art.
the mistake I see most often is people get so hungup on trying to immitate other artists (*people that claim to have an "anime style"*) just do draw how you feel like drawing. abstractions seem to be a good place to start. I personally find my art technically lacking, but some people seem to like it.
To answer. No, Im not an art student. I'm in a medical research major. I would like to do art, but paying for a liberal arts degree is one of the most irresponsible things a person can do these days.

I had to remove the fourth attachment in your first post, because according to these new rules, it's NSFW material.
I probably agree with your opinion on that, but just don't worry about it and don't post any bare body parts again to avoid a warning. I won't be giving you one for this time.
In other news, your work is amazing.
Curious?
