So i'm currently only really playing 2 games now, although Disgaea is the front running game now, I will most likely be playing Shining Force CD (Sega CD) somewhere in the near future... oh and as i mentioned i just bought a PSP..

A bit repetitive at first, but aren't they all?

Persona 3, on the other hand, is a lot of fun. It's like a mixture of a MegaTen RPG (most notably Nocturne) with a dating sim. Some of the daytime events can get obnoxious, but the gameplay is absolutely fantastic.

As for my game log, read above.

Also, I now have a keyboard for my PS3. I just need to find a copy of the PS2 FFXI somewhere and I'll be playing that again.

    Curse my laptop's battery for being uber-dead. ;_;

I was at gamestop (yes i know i swore off gamestop but they have used games) and picked up used field commander... i also checked again for Persona 3... i have never ever seen it in stock anywhere... so i may add it to my amazon order.

Oh and I picked up Jeanne D'Arc... but for games i am currently playing:

    Disgaea (PS2) - Episode 3
Etrian Odyssey (DS) - Still level 5..... i only play it when i'm out of the house
Paper Mario (N64) - Stalled.... haven't touched it in a month, chapter 3.
D&D Tactics (PSP) - Created 6 characters, started campaign, then immediately saved.

    Party is:
    Rogue (fave D&D class)
    Monk
    Fighter
    Psionic (yay for Dark Sun)
    Ranger
    Cleric

I opted for the psion in place of a mage class. I like bards and druids but decided to keep them out of the party.

Do dee do... so Kingdom Hearts II is going to be put on hold for a while.... I only got to the Mulan stage, too. Heh. Last week, I bought Capcom Classics Volume I because I saw that it had Bionic Commando amongst its list of games... but it was not the Bionic Commando I was expecting. It was some arcade version or something. I was rather disappointed. Although it does have Final Fight (which I played through with a friend and beat the other night) and a number of other games that I probably like.

    That's
being put on hold too, because I just got a Wii today, along with Twilight Princess. From the sounds of things, Twilight Princess will probably occupy me for some time. Anyhoo...

Where do I go to find that, again? I may find out on my own; it's probably in some set of options, or something. I'm feelin' kinda lazy, though, so if you see this before I edit this post with my friend's code included... la la la...

Y'know, something that really annoys me about Twilight Princess is that you cannot change the camera angle without Link running at an arc for a few feet (or switching to frst person view everything mode.) Not very practical. Anyhoo...

Zelda always seems to suffer from camera angle troubles. I heard about it more often with Twilight Princess though. YES, I HAVE NOT PLAYED IT. LEAVE ME ALONE.

You have to connect to the Internet (and therefore must set it up). Then you go to your bulletin with the mail and whatnot, options/settings in that, then the Address Book. Should be the first number there. You also add friends there.

It's like on that first page in there, right? Mine is 7430 0248 9954 7028. If I did it correctly. Yay, it only took me five days to get around to doing this! (Sorry S... I'm a lazy bastard.)

Did I post my Friend Code somewhere? If not I'll get it to you. Laaazy.

I picked up Brain Age 2 and Picross DS, the latter because of Korova's CRAZY MANIA RANTS. I suck at Brain Age, I'm like a 50 or something after three days. It seems to have the same number of games as the original Brain Age, except they're different. Probably a bit more original, but it seems like you could/should use them together. Maybe do 3 activities from 1, 3 from the other. But that would get rather annoying. Sudoku is as good as always, but I keep ****ing up horribly. It's only by the very end do I realize that the whole board is completely jacked up. But lately I've been half asleep when I've been playing it...I MUST CONCENTRATE. I hope you're able to unlock some classic activities/tests at the very end.

Picross is alright. I have no patience for it for some reason. Every time a tutorial pops up my mind screams and I stab away at the OK button. It's actually fun once you get to playing, but the interface feels a bit imprecise in comparison to something like Sudoku. I went from Free (where I got my ass kicked) to Easy to Free (where I beat one or two and got my ass kicked afterwards) to Normal. I got through the first set of Normals last night, so I think I'm finally getting the hang of it. I wasn't even using the X's until Korova told me to...His pointers saved me. But now that I'm on 15x15, again, the interface bugs the hell out of me. Still fun, but I'll have to take it slower since the puzzles are taking more time.

I also bought a Classic Controller. I hear that they will be releasing NeoGeo's Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting (is that correct?) soon, so I'm prepared. I should probably download Ocarina of Time while I'm at it. Now all they need is online multiplayer and I'll be set. IF ZSNES CAN DO IT, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO AS WELL, NINTENDO. Huuuuurry.

I have currently been playing Metroid Prime 3 and Wii Sports. Actually, I've been playing the hell out of Wii Sports, but tennis and bowling never get old for me.

Also on the Wii's VC, Super Metroid (SNES), Kirby's Adventure (NES), Paper Mario (64), and Link to the Past (SNES) have all occupied my time.

No other system is hooked up at the moment. It's all Wii, all the time.
    Hero façade. Villain at heart.

I like the classic controller.. its good.

I'd buy brain age 2 just for the sudoku. It's a good sudoku engine in those series.. better than any stand alone sudoku game. I always thought there was too few mini games in the first brain age.

Picross DS is awesome! Like gooky said, I was constantly raving about it I love it.. it occupies a LOT of my time. I'm on the 3rd level of normal.

I re-did my D&D party last night in Tactics too hopefully make it a bit easier. This time i gave every caster Still Spell so they can ****ing hold weapons while they cast.

    My new party is:
    Rogue
    Fighter (focus on 2 handed)
    Ranger (focusing on bows)
    Druid (i love druids)
Psychic Warrior (i needed a little more warrior and little less psionic out of my psion)
    Cleric (WITH STILL SPELL!)

Is your melee really overwhelming now? =P It's weird that they did that though, because you were able to hold weapons as you cast spells in normal D&D. Arcane casters are already barred from armors, and Clerics are supposed to be decent all-around. They didn't force Psions to drop their lack of somatic/verbal components, did they?

    AHHH D&D.

No its pretty straight D&D. In D&D if a spell has somatic component than you must have one hand free. This meant my cleric could not hold a shield and if i ran out of light spells than my cleric could not hold anything but a torch.

My party definitely has a lacking in firepower, but this party isn't melee heavy i would say. I really only have 2 front line characters, 3 if you count the druids companion. Then the ranger and rogue try to not get hit. The rogue hides in shadows and tumbles to avoid attacks of opportunity while the ranger stays away from the battle and is my only firepower. The cleric and druid stay behind and offer up support and healing. If a monster breaks through the front line my cleric can protect the druid with mace and shield.

The biggest problem is 6 characters are hard to manage. you spend a lot of time between adventures. Its hard to remember what feats you gave everyone, what armor they can wear, what they currently have equipped, etc. I find myself wanting to build offline character sheets for each one for easy reference.

edit: oh my druid also is equipped with a shortbow (yay for still spell) to add additional firepower.

I think I remember seeing it somewhere one time-maybe even in this thread-but I don't remember where. People were giving out their friend codes like hard candy.

Classics, all. Those three are some of my favorite games ever. I haven't played Super Metroid in forever... I've never played Kirby's Adventure, but I watched a friend play it and it looks like a lot of fun. Anyhoo...

I'll get it to you soon then!

Later on Druids become a nice mix of healing and power, so maybe you won't need a Wizard or Sorcerer? They have more offensive-minded spells than Clerics. I think you get things like Flame Strike or Call Lightning/Lightning. The second may be a 3rd level spell though, so it's probably a ways off. Still, Druids rock.

Yeah. The idea was to somehow fit the druid in there. I didn't want to adventure without one, so i sacrificed the nuker role. I think it will work out nicely though.

Finally caught the damned fish at the beginning of Twilight Princess, once I had an audience. On my first damned try. The cat ran off with it into the house. Then... yet again, I could not catch a single thing. Pissed me off. (As there was an audience, and I was at a friend's house, I didn't get any further than that for the time being.)

I also downloaded Super Mario 64, Breath of Fire 2, and Kirby's Adventure off of the Virtual Console. Played a bit of Kirby's Adventure. The controls are... different. I note that you have to press up in order to fly. Pressing the jump button will simply make you jump. I'm also not sure how to get rid of a power if you want another one (without getting hit by an enemy.) My friend did, and said she hit the minus button, or something. I've been using the gamecube controller though, so...

May I recommend Shining Force off the VC hehehehehe... i LOOOOVE that game! One of the first SRPGs ever made!

Anyone notice Gooky stopped posting here after he got a PSP?

As far as MY gaming log goes... everything has kinda been put on hold ever since i got Halo 3. Although i did do a little D&D Tactics last night before i went to sleep.

I actually haven't been playing anything recently. NOT EVEN DISGAEA. I got my PSP, but...I haven't switched it on in a while. As far as "games" go, it's been strictly Brain Age. Crap, I gotta play that soon.

I've been having gigantic nostalgia cravings for FFVII-IX, Chrono Cross, and Ocarina of Time though.

Hey you! Yeah you! Give me your Wii Friends Code! BLARGH!!

...Anyhoo, I will look into this "Shining Force" that you speak of, K. It's a shooter/rpg? What sort of element of a shooter does it have? I generally don't play shooters, but thewn again when I think of a shooter, I think of a First Person Shooter. Then again, maybe I'm incorrect as to what "SRPG" stands for.

I got a bit further in Twilight Princess. I see that it is much more fun than trying to catch a fish. Although in truth, I've been playing Breath of Fire 2 a bit more. Even though I already played through and beat that game years ago...*shrug* I miss the old school RPG, I suppose. Anyhoo...

SRPG is Strategy RPG. It implies that you won't be able to just press X to win the battle. Which implies that you have to think. Which implies that if you accidentally move one square farther to the right than you should have you're going to be penalized when that 2-handed axe comes down on and through you like a hot knife through butter. But it's okay, right? The punishment will only make you stronger.

    (It's fun.)

Why did I think it was shooter? Oh well. I like strategy, so I will probably play this one, eventually. When I'm done with other stuff that I have right now (maybe some day I will go back and play Kingdom Hearts II, as well.) Anyhoo...

WHEN ARE YOU FRIGGIN' GONNA GET ME YOUR FRIEND CODE, LADY?!!

Do dee do. I've been playing more Breath of Fire 2 than anything else. Got Katt, Rand, Nina and Sten today. "Come here and swear your allegiance to me, Nina! Get down on your knees!" (We all know what was really being implied in that scene... heh.)

I should play more Twilight Princess. I was really enjoying it last time. Anyhoo...
