Childhood Memories ~ Haiku Edition
Kaz has inspired this,
it is a thread about us,
at a simpler time.
Pick a memory,
use the five-seven-five rule,
and write about it.
If you must speak out,
do so in haiku as well,
or I'll go apeshit.
You can leave no name,
or title it if you want,
I don't think I will.
--
Silly armored cats,
parting the silk or thick crust,
of scrumptious pizza.
--
Now that this is made,
I am very, very tired,
write awesome things please.

Driving about California
Listening to the happiest music
Drinking my soda
Within a basement
I ate Izzy's Limousine Pizza
Played Warcraft II
I drove North
We saw a favorite band
Memories of friends
In the Fall
I joined a website's forum
Dedicated to fantasy
I don't care
For these kinds of things
Mine are crap
With the love
She is forever the one
Your caring mother

Waking at 7
Going to friend's house at 8
Playing Super Smash
Thinking about it
All before high school's a blur
Eat **** nostalgia
Oh, here's a P.S.
Limericks piss on haiku's

Get Equipped With Band-Aid!
This explains, in great-to-little detail, how I learned to fly.
****
Flying down the hill,
riding a bike with no brakes
to my friend's new house.
He got Mega Man!
The fourth one in the series.
I was excited.
Christmas came early,
but I forgot one detail.
My bike wasn't fixed!
Falling down the hill,
a hostage to momentum,
nearing my demise.
A curb stopped me short.
I flew over the handles
onto the sidewalk.
Friction helped me stop---
for that I was not grateful---
I was bleeding bad.
The doomed vehicle
landed squarely on my chest
with wheels still spinning.
My friend's mom saw me;
she's a nurse and was concerned.
My friend also ran.
What was my response?
I didn't cry or complain.
I said: "That was cool!"
