It got released in Japan on the PSN May 20 and in the EU territories May 25. There is still no release date for the NA territories for some reason. It's a little strange EU getting it before the NA, but it happens once and a while. I'll probably buy it and replayed it because I really love FFIX.
In slightly unrelated news, the rumor is that FFXI will be getting a PSN release as well. That should provide a little more open access to the game since the PS2 version is nigh impossible to find these days.
