This is going to be an RP based on Buso Renkin. If you don’t know the series, that’s fine. The whole thing will have some references here and there, but nothing directly towards the series. There will only be a few concepts that will be explained here. Final Fantasy Fan Cid and I came up with this random idea, and it’s our first RP attempt, so sorry if it’s none too great. Background Info: Fifty years ago, the Alchemist Warriors were an elite group of fighters who battled against homunculi. The only thing that could destroy the homunculi are the weapons called Buso Renkin. Both were the results of people’s research in the field of Alchemy from long ago. Buso Renkin are somewhat like personalized weapons that vary between each owner. The default shape of each Buso Renkin is just a plain metal hexagon with a Roman numeral in the center ranging from I to C (1 to 100). Buso Renkin are just tools that reflect the user’s corresponding weapon unique to that one user. Each one usually also has some sort of special ability that is specified to each separate user. Homunculi are monsters that usually take the shape of monsters or animals. In some special cases that are more common now in this experimental time period, there are humanoid homunculi that can take human form but still have the abilities of regular homunculi. They also have special abilities depending on what creature they were in the past or how they were as humans. Homunculi are dangerous beasts that hunger for human flesh. Human is what keeps them going, which is why the Alchemist Army is out to eradicate all homunculi. A humanoid homunculus is very much like a human because basically, it is. They still must feed on human flesh and have more intense instincts (like a normal beast) because of their change. Humanoid homunculi are superior to regular homunculi because they are able to wield Buso Renkin like a normal human. This makes them more potentially dangerous and therefore higher on the priority list of hunters and Alchemist warriors. These monsters live longer than almost anything in the world and are nearly immortal. A homunculus has some special features that make it a very bad opponent to have in battle. They heal at a miraculous rate and can regenerate lost limbs or reattach them. This requires much energy though and will make the homunculus hungrier for a meal (human). The only way to kill a homunculus is to strike the emblem (which shows that they are an actual homunculus) that is usually located on their forehead. Humanoid homunculi are the same, though their emblem location can be anywhere on their body. ~ Fifty years ago, there was a sudden boom of human interest in Alchemy again. Amateur scientists were conducting unorthodox experiments that led to a large increase of homunculi numbers. Basically, the same thing was happening then as in the medieval ages. No actual gold was created from the experiments, but there were some strange successes in making different variations of homunculi. One Bakushaku Chouno did most of these successful experiments. The boom was dangerous to the general public and the secrecy of Alchemy. The main point of the RP is a series of missions given by the Alchemist Army to locate and destroy Bakushaku Chouno. Some homunculi that have been created from random experiments have joined the Alchemist side in hopes of being changed back into humans. Bakushaku Chouno is a genius that owns a large trading company. He is possibly the biggest name in Japan, and has many resources. He’s been experimenting with creating humanoid homunculi but hasn’t perfected the process. There have been accidents throughout the world that have created this, but none of the variables are consistent. Chouno is doing all sorts of things; creating homunculi for a private army for no obvious reason. The Alchemist Army believes Chouno wants to take over the world with the monsters he’s been creating around the globe, but that is only a reason they made up to explain his actions. There are more mission investigations to try and determine his true motives. Well, as Bleachfangirl said, we are starting a new RP, and it is involving Buso Renkin. We would love to have anyone come into this RP, so we can get it rolling. If there are any questions about it, feel free to ask us. Name: Remi Light Race: human Allegiance: Alchemist Army Age: 17 Special ability: Causes friction in the air to create lightning. Buso Renkin name: Shock Glove (May change) Buso Renkin description: Black glove with silver plate on knuckles Personality/History: Remi and his sister found their own personal Buso Renkins, and learned how to unleash them, and were recruited as children by the Alchemist Army. They are both orphans. Remi is a very protective person, when it comes to his sister. He has spiked blond hair, green eyes, wears a shirt with a black jacket and pants. He also has a medallion with a snake biting its tail symbolizing the beginning and the end, and how they are intertwined. He is a strong willed individual, who is not afraid to speak his mind. That's my character, if anyone is interested, feel free to show us what you got.
Here's my character. Name: Ren (pronounced Rain) Light Race: Human Allegiance: Alchemist Army Age: 15 Special ability: Ren's Buso Renkin condenses water vapors in the air or takes it from the nearest source to use as an offensive or defensive stream. The main glove controls the water and amount of water that is used in each attack depending on the glove and fingers' movements. Buso Renkin name: Night Stream Buso Renkin description: The night stream is a combination of a left bracer and right glove. The left bracer is a pitch black while the plated glove is a navy blue like the night sky. Physical Description: Ren wears a plain white long sleeve shirt with a collar under a tan short sleeve tunic. Her skirt is a dark brown color somewhat like that of old wood and reaches down to her ankles just above her white tennis shoes. She has pants underneath the skirt in case of a battle where she must remove the skirt to move easier. Ren has blond hair like her brother's that is streaked with brown. Her hair reaches down to the middle of her back when it's loose. Ren keeps it in a braid so it doesn't get in her way. Unlike her brother, Ren has light brown eyes that look about orange in light. Personality/History: Ren is a bit more quiet than her brother Remi, though she is very optimistic and cheerful. Ren and Remi were recruited to train with the Alchemist army as children when their parents were killed by homunculi. The two are very close and Ren tries to stand up for herself and do her best so that Remi isn't worried. She's got no real sense of humor and finds the most random things funny. She'll take a joke as seriously or not understand it most of the time since she has always been a straight forward person.
Name: Cai Edenstar Race: Human Allegiance: Rogue for hire working to the alchemist army Age: 16 Special ability: A pair of daggers that can be encompassed by green flame. these flames can lengthen the size of the blades or can be shot by sheer will if wanted. Buso Renkin name: Cerebus Buso Renkin description: the pair of daggers are considered one Buso Renkin. The blades look like obsidian. A blacky glassy looking blade. Physical description: He wears all black with a black cape. His hair is short and black which he keeps combed down. He has an average body size. His eyes pierce with an icy blue coloration.He has a scar on his left cheek from an older job. Personality/History: Cai is a very relaxed person. He is compassionate to people, but sometimes is stand-offish when it come to group work or discussions. He hates his job as a mercinary and usually turns down violent missions. He once had an older brother. His older brother used to do missions with him, but on one mission his brother had fallen. In his last breath, Cai's older brother gave cerebus to him. Cerbus used to have three daggers. These three daggers were carried with them at all time. Two of the were held by Cai's brother and one by Cai himself. When Cai's brother was about to die Cai was sent by his brothers will with two of the blades. Cai's and his brother were on a mission to stop a homunculi. Cai's brother charged at the humonculi with one blade. Cai assumes his brother is dead and the third dagger is gone with it. There is no definite way to tell if since all threee blades are seperated if Cerebus is any weaker.( I was going to use this for a character development if that is alright if not PM me.)

Well first things first is I would like to thank you two for your acceptance, and what ever heppened to the other rp i was enjoying readin it.Also i cant wait for this to start up. I dont know much about Buso renkin, but im going to try and work hard at this. So thanks again.

Anyway, please keep this thread relating to the subject, other wise, we could get this thread shut down. As for not knowing much about Buso Renkin, that is fine, we can tell you anything that you might need to know.

Well, since this is the OOC thread, I guess we're allowed to discuss the plot here? So since this is a RP with series of missions that lead up to a certain point, we should figure out how to get there....and what that point is. Basically, we'll be up against Bakushaku Chouno and his minions. Cid, you and I can handle adding some posts every now and then from Chouno's point of view so that everyone knows kind of what goes on in the background. For the first mission, should we all be meeting at one rendezvous point that was assigned by the Headquarters of the Alchemist Army? Any thoughts, Cid, Seraph.
Well i figure my character would accompany one of you two as an escort due to the fact that he is a blade for hire, but do you think we should meet up so early? Also another thing that may help is if You or Cid would control Chouno's point of view because you two seem to know the most about this and i figured that y'all are highly capable of doing this. Imma gonna wiki it and if this was an anime do you think that i can find it on youtube?
Yes, Bleach and I will take over for Chouno, and that would be a good idea to read up on Buso Renkin. As for the background, it sounds like a good idea, but we cannot reveal too much.

lol my g/f got pissed b/c i spent a whole day between spending time with her and watch buso renkin but all the episode were coll as heck. even though it kinda makes my character flawed seeing as it would be hard to split a buso renkin in 3rd.
lol. I think that you could still keep yours, funny that your girlfriend was mad, personally I would have spent the day with her, and caught up on Buso Renkin later. lol. Whatever though, so now you know all about it.
funny thing is she would sleep i could sleep so i got out of bed to watch then she started watching and she kinda wants to get into rping.

You know, I don't know if anyone else will join this...feels like it...so should we just make the IC thread so you two can start? If anyone wants to come in later, we can always just edit our prior posts or quickly end the mission to let them get into it. What do you think? Wait, or go at it?
If its a voting thing i say lets go for it, and i will try to convince her. She feels that she isn't a strong typer and doesn't think she could keep up, but we all were beginners at sometime right. I'm the best writer, but when it burns in me something clicks and i cant let my heart flow. I'm want her to get into it , and now i will take my leave and try to get her to join aswell.
Hmmm, that would be interesting. I think we could go on with the RP, just maybe wait a few days for more members. Bleach and I should come up with a good opening post thing, then we can get started.
Okay, waiting a few more days it is. Then, since no one has any objections I guess we'll put up an IC thread. Cid, we can PM each other with ideas. Yeah, we all were....I still am a beginner, so she wouldn't feel uncomfortable. Tell her not to worry. RPings just a fun thing to do with your time with other people. Besides, typing isn't that important. She'll have all the time she needs to make a post if she's at home or something, so she shouldn't worry. I can't type for poop either. ^^
