Seventh Heaven: The Ultimate Published Guide to FFVII
I thought people here might find this interesting, so I'd like to share with you the following:
I've been working on a very large project with a very talented team of designers and artists, and this project is a strategy guide on FFVII that leaves no stone unturned. Why have we decided to create this book? Because other strategy guides (especially the official) omit many things and leave out items, weapons, and countless other things.
This book will offer unique artistic content, a fold-out poster of the five WEAPONS (which looks incredible - previews coming soon), amazing strategies and in-depth mechanics.
From what I see it looks good but this thread is in violations on forum rules.

I would really like to see you stick around and discuss VII with us seeing you seem to know alot about it.

Alright, I've added it to my signature - I'm still a little puzzled on how this forum works. I'll drop by later to see how this thread is doing or if it's still alive or not - just thought it'd be a welcomed new spark to the FFVII universe, but I understand that rules are rules.
Nice to see you around AbsoluteSteve, I think I've read through a few of your guides at GameFAQs, correct?
The problem with it all is, I know that FF7 is a classic game and all and there is a lot to be covered, but the fact of the matter is FF7 is a vastly overplayed game. I could go off the top of my head after not touching the game in over half a decade and not miss a beat, except maybe with some small stuff like the Golden Saucer arcade games and whatnot. Besides, the game isn't that overly difficult to warrant in-depth strategies, even with the optional bosses. I understand that you're probably doing it more for the passion of the game rather than for a profit, but unless you were able to make it "official" by SE's standards then I am unsure how many people would be interested into paying for something like this.
I wish you all the best though sir, keep us updated here. Maybe you could start something in the journal section of the forums and talk to us about updates and stuff, just an idea..?

Meier: Hey Pete, I said I started to, it just didn't end the with the same number of women. Then again this one is kind of on the outs with me if she doesn't straighten up and fly right so that means I will be back in it for the thrill of the kill. Got some in the reserves. Even got a rePETEr (<---- like that ay? AYYYYY?) on the back burner.
Block: I do like the rePETEr except it kinda makes it sound like you're going to pork Pete. No homo.

Myself and Cobain covered all "rare items/things" years ago in a thread, thread may still be in around, we left nothing unturned. But yeah good luck with your ultimate guide for a game thats over a decade old
I applaued you for the effort put into this guide, based on browsing the preview pages, the illustrations are colourful, and nice to look at, but as it's been said, there are loads and loads of FFVII guides out there already, which have extreme detail by their own right. But still, good luck with your guide, hope it goes well!
I think I'm beginning to understand. An answer from the Planet, the Promised Land...I think I can meet her...there.
I hope you looked up how the copyright laws work cause if you don't have permission to produce this guide (official or not you probably still need some sort of consent), you will get slapped with a lawsuit sooner or later.
That said, while I do wish you well I highly doubt you'll get many buyers. Regardless of what you think was missed in other guides, the reality is that all the information a player needs to complete the game can be found for free in many many places on the internet. Time is a huge factor here; the game is now old enough that all its secrets are essentially common knowledge. I'm afraid you missed the boat by about eleven years.
Well there is a key fact that alot of people have over looked here when commenting that the game is so old and I guess it has been forgoten about; FFVII was recently rereleased on the PS3 network. Given older avid gamers know the game like the back of their hand you still have to think of how many new gamers that are out there now.
Availibility on the official Prima guide is pretty scarce, most online guides are crap (still lack information), and I don't think many 12-13 year olds know the game well enough to know everything about it.
There are plenty of kids who are capitvated by this game even now who when the title was originally released where what, 2 maybe 3?
Honestly Steve I support your efforts for creating the ultimate user guide and wish you the best of luck and prosparity. Hopefully some kid that has never got to play VII before gets to get ahold of a real guide.

While some may think that all obscurities have been covered, you'd be amazed how much more you'd find out after reading this guide. It's aimed at two markets: Newbies and pros. Of course there's plenty enough eye candy, including a high resolution fold out dust jacket poster containing the five WEAPONS made by an extremely talented artist.
When we've completed the project I'll keep everyone updated on how things went.
