FFVII Worth Getting?

I am in concurance with all of the above posters. This game is great; given it is no VI or IV but it is still a damn good game and has many good qualities to it. Plus it has a diverse selection of spin off titles.

For it's time it really was inovating in more ways then one. the only thing I hate is the fact that Xenogears was in the shadows of this title and was buried by it's popularity; also fanboys have over glorified it.

But it is a must have for any FF fan /fanatic's collection.

It is worth to pick up for it is a Final Fantasy and a good one at that. It is the game that popularized the Final Fantasy series and the RPG genre outside of Japan. I would advise going withoug high expectations cause if they are too high they may be unrealistic and you are left disappointed. Just play the game and don't judge against any other game, just on itself- that is important for a lot of people make the error on judging it against another game.

Yes! I highly reccomend it, it's not my all time favorite FF but its pretty damn close. If you're looking for an engrossing, high quality rpg then you won't regret atleast trying it out.

It's a great, great game, but, to get it now new will cost you a good hundred bucks so unless you really have the cash, it'll be very hard to obtain. I got mine used for 49.99, in bad condition (though it worked). So i'd recommend getting it used. Who knows, you might even get one in good condition.

If you get it, you'll love the game. Great story, great characters, and the greatest video game villain of all time (in my opinion of course). The game isn't very difficult though (which to me is a good thing but some think otherwise) so if you like a challenge, this game may not be for you. The graphics are not good, though they were decent in their time. So if you covet good graphics yet again, it may not be for you. All in all i'm sure you'd enjoy it and i'd love an update when you play it if possible.

FFVII really is the most groundbreaking RPG for the Final Fantasy series, and quite possibly RPG's in the western world. It's impact at the time was just phenomenal.

If you are a hardcore gamer you have to have this in your collection. It would be ideal to play after Crisis Core as well, sure the graphics won't be the same and there are no voice acting...but don't let that stop you.

let me tell i bought the ps1 game for 40 dollars five months before it came on the playstation store but i still bought it and its great on the psp there is nothing like Cloud and Sephiroth on the go i say buy it

Personally, I think FFVII is a wonderful game to have in your collection. It's a classic, it has value and it has a memorable story. However, it is both rare and expensive today, so I bid you good fortune on your search.
